Long story short to the story below, and believe me I've learned from experience, if they are not the girl from the picture or the pictures are misrepresenting of their age and weight simply send them away.

Personally with new girls I usually do incall first. I tell myself if they do not look like the girl in the photo to turn around. This method saved me with a girl down in Bloomington called April. She looked relatively thin and young in the photo but when I got to her incall apartment she was significantly overweight and had these weird bruises and acne on her face. She also dressed sloppy and was unsure about her hygiene. Everything was wrong including the place reeking like smoke. I thought with the head on my shoulders and told her I changed my mind and walked out. This is what all Hobbyist should do which would get rid of 90% of the scammers.

Also I try this if at all possible to pay at the end of the session not before. If they aren't going to scam you this should not be a big problem. Actually the last 9 out of 10 escorts took the money at the end not the beginning. You can also do a half hour and bump up to the hour. You tell them if you are happy you'll upgrade. Most of my experiences has been good save April this year as most of lasts years too (had to walk away once) because I learned from my mistakes. Do yourself a favor and learn from mine as learning the hard way sucks.

BTW the advice about going with reviewed girls is spot on. I do take a chance once and a while but it is fairly calculated and usually do incall so I can leave before paying if things seem off.

Finally if you are going to take a chance spend some time talking with the girl on the phone. There have been several providers I knew without a doubt they were going to be good because we had a good 10 minute conversation in which I could tell they really opened up.

Ok time to let go my worst vice advice, besides hobbying of coarse.

No matter what goofy instructions they have put on their profile ("put in plain white envelope, lay it in the bathroom","put in envelope marked 'gift'" etc) I haven't bothered and never get any complaints. Of course I really try to only see girls I can research thoroughly, maybe that's the best advice I can give. As Luchi says, the experienced ones will know if you're legit once you get there.

Many of you use the word respect, but in this context I would say confidence. That is, I try to do enough research so I have confidence the lady is good and I'm not going to get ripped off. Not taking chances may make me miss some nice opportunities, but there are LOTS of opportunities out there.

Paying at the front, paying at the end, has more to do with the girl's comfort level with the guy than anything else. Her comfort level is driven by their interaction beginning with his first contact, how the set up was handled, and those first few minutes of their first meeting. She won't worry about it when she is comfortable with him. Actually, she is very uncomfortable with the whole idea of sex for money in the first place, so if she is comfortable with him she does not want to be paid first. I've seen this so many times I believe it to be true.

I've laid the envelope down at the initial contact just because it was on my mind and other times not because it wasn't. Only once has the girl counted it out first thing in front of me. Any number of times I have laid it down (or not laid it down) and nothing was said either way; no attention was given to that circumstance.

One time a girl wanted to see that I had the money. She didn't want me to give it to her, and specifically said she wasn't asking to have it (as though she thought I might object); she just wanted to see that I had it in the room; so I handed her the money which took care of that.

Another time I gave her the money, a full service donation, and she suddenly became a dancer in a change-your-own-oil situation. That's the only time I have been burned. What got me is I wouldn't play ball and sent her away. She wanted to charge me an additional rejection fee and got mad when I wouldn't pay it. Takes all kinds.

I think there are more dishonest hobbyists than there are dishonest girls when it comes to paying for services.

My belief that a trust or comfort level is established during the screening process, if the provider actually goes through one. Most of the time it involves something that has to do with work, like a work phone number with ext, or a work e-mail address sent to the provider. Then a conversation between the hobbyist and provider usually takes place shortly thereafter. I'm not sure it matters when the donation is actually given, and a lot of times that's a procedure which is explained during the screening process. And I say donation because I think this should always be about companionship provided by a provider for a hobbyist. If you see someone who generally talks about paying for specific services, and in this case a rejection fee? (I actually laughed till my bawls ached when I read that). Then I assume you found a provider on BP. Unless you are a lucky chap like Ilapp, who seemed to find a nugget of gold in a coal mine the other day (an excellent writeup on the BP reviews board, and yes, I do consider most of the ads I have seen on BP to be lumps of coal) , then it seems a ripoff may be unavoidable in your case. I know that Johnny Z just meant that where things are casual he acts casually. I know because I asked him. He didn't mean to imply anyone should ignore stated instructions. Newbies out there should understand that this takes advantage of a woman's natural disinclination to incriminate herself by asking. It's way beyond a little faux pas, and *it's not your choice.

The other thing about it is I'm not sure how paying at the end is supposed to prevent ripoffs. It might prevent cash-and-dash, but if cash-and-dash is in the cards I suppose the woman's going to ask about the donation up front, or ask for the money for the room first, etc. 90% of avoiding cash-and-dash is not putting yourself in that position in the first place. It sounds more to me like an open invitation to object to paying *after* services have been provided, in which case you got to ask who's ripping off who.

It has to be. If the power swayed to much to either side the industry would collapse. I think that if you take all of the women providing in the Indy from CL, BP, E. Com, BD. Net, another site, to the UTR in Strip clubs that none of us even know about. Also the Providers that go just on word of mouth in circles none of us run in. I think the Number is 2 maybe 3 hobbyist to 1 provider. If that many men were into this hobby in this area then it would be legal. Just my 2 cents.
