I read that Xposed has Venus Faire style booths where you and the model are separated by glass. Any knowledge on if you can enjoy yourself in the booths at Xposed the way you can at VF? and how much are the booths/tips? I live real near there and I can't handle the 30 minute drive across the valley any more to VF to see that the place is devoid of talent.

The VIP room in Thisty's is small, with 4 chairs facing each other, and an open door to the main room. Creative as I am, there is not much I can imagine happening under those circumstances. I'd rather recommend ya'll make the trek to Spearmint Rhino in Oxnard, or Flesh in Colton (used to like Babydolls in Pomona, but that was shuttered last time I tried to lighten my load, uh, wallet). Thursday night, or better say early evening I was over in the valley (had to pick up some stuff at Fry's) and decided I might just wanna use the oppertunity to check out Godfathers. Got there around 7:00 PM. Guess it is a bad time. The club looks quite nice and the prices are fine (5 to get in and 5 for a drink-got used to bottled water after spending some weekends in Mexico). Laps are really great price 40 for 3, 50 for 4 and 60 for 5. Unfortunately I did not get to try any. Only three girls in and none really caught my attention in a way that I wanted to lap with them, in retrospect that was a mistake (see the Playres experience below).
Guess I was caught in between day and night shift. Spent some money on the stage (what is up with those guys that do not tip the stage girls, you are watching, so give them some damn money, and by the way one dollar was a lot 10 years ago).
Left around 7:45 and headed east. Before I knew I was close to The Players club and decided to make a stop. Have been there couple times (see posts in LA section), wasn't great but usually good for some nasty lap dance, though the girls aren't really on the light side.

I was wandering around the Valley last night with a friend of mine looking for a bar to have good times at when we came across the Frisky Kitty. I haven't been to a strip club since I moved back to CA so I don'trealy have any thing to compare this experience too, but I have to say that I had a pretty good time.
Sunday night it's 15$ to get in and if you hold out long enough you can wait at the stage for 3-1 full nude lapdances, they say it's 25$ but at the last minute the bar girl came to the back and asked for 8.50 "for the ladies drink" all in all the lapdance cost me 33.50 but I the girl put on such a good show that I couldn't really complain.
Name's "Michelle", taller white girl with short black hair and pierced nipples, interesting face but a very sweet body and a sweeter attitude. Good report, keep it up. With or without the chuckle. If you ever get out to the Inland Empire, both the S Rhino in Rialto and TL in Upland can be nice high mileage joints. As usual, it depends on the girl, so spend a bit of time eyeballing the scene. Both of these places have yielded the absolute worst experiences I've ever had. In each of those cases, I walked in, saw THE PLAYBOY foldout, paid the asking price, and 3 or 6 songs and $100+ dollars later, wondered where I forgot my brain. If I was 20, that might be understandable, but I'm well over 50! And I still take a bankruptcy dive every now and again. Bottom line, in the club, in the AMP, or on the street - If it looks/sounds way too good to be true, listen to your gut. It may keep you out of jail, and will almost always save you a few bucks, at the least.

I like Xposed. It's a good club, with good energy. We've done 3 bachelor parties there so far, and the action has been white-hot. My friends, who were ho-hum about the last bachelor party, ended up having a blast, one going so far as to say the girls here are better than any of the clubs he went to here, in hawaii, or in vegas.
There's no booths like the ones you're mentioning. The VIP area has private alcoves, topless overlooks the main floor and nude is against the wall. Dances are pricey, 20 for topless, 40 nude, and they only last for 3 minutes. Wait for the 2/1 deals if you're going to get a dance. They have "couch" dances where you lay down and they grind on you, 300 for 30 minutes (yikes! just get a hot working girl for that cash!).
It's easy to figure out the girls who will give you good dances if you pay any attention and aren't drunk out of your skull (The Wet Spot is next door, and is a full bar. Get blitzed and walk next door to get into the club). Just look for girls who vary their dances on stage from one performance to the next. The ones that do more than the wrote performance usually give good dances (some of the girls there haven't changed music or routine in over a year I was told). There used to be a white girl by the name of valerie who had the curves and moves of a black woman and was smoking hot, but sadly she's moved on I think. 90% of the women in the club are absolutely smoking hot, and the other 10% have some redeeming quality. The girls get out and mix with the customers constantly when they're not dancing, and you get good attention if you tipped well during the dance or went and got a lapdance.

Being in retail business, I know that if you purchase things outside the city of LA, usually depending on where you purchase, you save 1% on sales tax. Granted it's not much, but on a car or a big-purchase item, you might save 100 bucks. Or better, yet, 100 bucks that *doesn't* go to LA. Check out your receipt some time. If it's anything more than 7.25% sales tax, you're paying extra money to the city you're in.
6% goes to the state, 1/4% goes to the county, and 1% goes to "state and local", which is mainly city I imagine. Each individual city has the option to raise the sales tax by a certain amount for whatever reason, usually via ballot.
If you're curious how it all breaks down, google up the BOE 401A2 schedule (you can get the PDF) and you can see how sales tax breaks down, what it's paid on, and where exemptions are.
It's tangential even to your rant, but the lesson here is that you're pulling a double-whammy on the city, depriving them of taxes *and* of sales. Taxes are looked at quite closely, and if enough people go out of city/county to make purchases, you can bet that they will notice and do something to get that money back.
Vote with your wallets gentlemen. Moreso than even the ballots, your wallets send a much stronger message to politicians. The only problem is that cities with huge tourism trades, such as the LA area (and OC) have a lot of revenue coming in that is not dependent on their citizens, and so have the ability to be bigger asshats. Still, the best way to change the laws are to make the laws unprofitable, and *that* idea certainly ties in with the discussions here on these boards.

Never had the gumption to go to Valley ball. Always went to xposed to get my strip club action. Always went with friends, always turned it into a party, so extras didn't exactly rank high on the list, and any consuming I was going to do was going to be of the liquid kind.
The Rhino out in Oxnard is horrid (should be in the oxnard board, but you mentioned Rhino here and it made me remember). Most of the girls are pretty flabby, the stage dances are terrible (the costumes don't start to come off until about 30 seconds before the girl is done on stage), and there is zero enthusiasm there with the girls almost without question. Xposed is probably my favorite valley strip club. I've gotten *great* milage out of the girls there, and have always had a fantastic time. I was even there a few days ago. Then I found out the following happened back at the beginning of March. Way creepy... Man Arrested in Strip Club Murder
Los Angeles: Los Angeles police detectives arrested a man Monday after he cut the throat of a strip club patron.
On Monday, March 5, 2007, at 8:30 PM, officers from West Valley Area responded to an "Ambulance Cutting" radio call at the Exposed Dance Club in the 8200 block of Canoga Avenue, in Canoga Park. The officers were directed inside the club where a man was on the floor bleeding from the neck.
Los Angeles City Fire Department Paramedics transported the victim to Northridge Hospital, where he later died.
Witnesses stated that the victim was seated in the club, talking to a dancer, when the suspect, who was seated directly behind, suddenly rose from his chair. The suspect then pulled a knife and cut the victim's throat, for no apparent reason. The suspect walked out of the club and drove off in a gray, late-model Audi.
Police responded to the suspect's address in the 17300 block of Quesan Place, in Encino, and saw the gray Audi parked in front of the address. The suspect, Zachary Todd Balonick, 20, was arrested for murder without incident.
The murder victim was identified as a 26-year-old man from Canoga Park. His identity has not been released, pending notification of his family.
I had some free passes for Xposed from way back when, and decided Monday night that seeing some boobies would be right up my alley seeing that SB was dead. Well, seems like no one has posted here in a while so thought I would post my recent experiences and thoughts.
I live about 15min from XPosed so naturally this was one of the spots I was visiting. My opinion is that a few months back this place had some good looking girls, a nice vibe, and was a pretty happening place. I also liked the fact that The Wet Spot next door was a nice way of basically serving alcohol in a full nude club without actually breaking the law. The only gripe I had with this club was the fact that the girls where maybe a little to aggressive, I understand they are there to make money, but sometimes they need to relax. But the nice looking girls and fun atmosphere made up for the short comings. However over the last couple months this club has really gone down hill. The club is a ghost town, there are little to no girls, and the handful that are there are not even worth getting dances from IMHO. The staff seems unfriendly and just unhappy to be there. The private dance area at this club is not very private at all, and even when I enjoyed going to this club, I never received any mileage really worth talking about.
The next club, SR Van Nuys, which would be the club I have the most time spent out of all the clubs I go to. This club is a very nice and classy club, while XPosed is becoming run down, and in major need of upgrades and general upkeep, SR always maintains its standards. I loved this club (Still do) - more than half of the girls working here on any given night were dance worthy. The girls were never over pushy, and I never had a bad experience here with the dancers. Most are willing to sit down and talk, even without asking if I wanted a dance. I found that most of the girls were actually able to hold a conversation, and were very enjoyable to sit with for long periods of time. (who wouldn't want to sit down with a hot chick and talk for long periods of time.) - All of the private dancers here have been good, the mileage has eh. But again with the layout of the dance booths, and the openness and constant surveillance on the VIP room, really limits to what can happen. Out of all my dances, its been a fun place to go with friends to have a good time, but thats all your gonna get. I have to say though, over the last 2 months or so, the quality of women has gone down, while there were always 9/10's - there are much much less. I few of my favorite dancers, no longer work there either, and I know they were some of the top earners in there. I did go there earlier this week and saw 3 or 4 new girls who looked like they had some potential, so hopefully things will start to turn in a positive way. The good thing is that the regulars, and popularity of this club will keep this place packed with customers.
The newest club I have been frequenting lately is The Rogue, in Van Nuys. I have to say, after seeing the renovation since it was Bob's, its jaw dropping how much nicer it is. The layout is great and unlike SR Van Nuys, you wont get the usual drink push when getting private dances. (I think I only had one in the entirety of my dances there) - The quality of women isn't quite on the same caliber as SR Van Nuys, but there are still enough to choose from. However I must say that the mileage here is far beyond the other two clubs I've talked about. Just get the right girl and it will be worth it. One of the qualities I love about this club are all the nooks and crannies where the private dances are, just when you think you have seen them all, head down a hall and there opens up a whole other room. The rooms are nice and private, so you really can get into the dances, and the girl. This club is my new favorite for now, and am enjoying the time I spend there.
