I have not confirmed this but reliable source says MJ jumped off the MS bridge night before last and lived. She did however break her back and a couple other serious injuries but will live.

If confirmed, this is one of the saddest stories I've heard in a long time. It has been about a year since I've seen MJ, and although there seems to have been a pattern of erratic behavior based on her recent posts, she always treated me well. I hope she gets all of the help she needs.

This is indeed very sad...and I have been concerned that she might attempt something like this after reading her erratic posts over the past month. :(

She called me Sunday saying she was in the Med with a broke back. Didn't say anything else and I tried calling back Monday afternoon but didn't get an answer.

Correction: I just talked with her a few minutes ago. Its true. Jumped off the "old" bridge. Said she had taken a bunch of pills and just jumped. She's still in the hospital with a broke back and other stuff. She actually sounds more normal on the phone to me than in the past few weeks.

I'm sorry to hear that MJ is having these problems. I have seen her a few times but not recently.

I talked to her Sunday and Monday. Told me she is glad to have lived. She also told me that she will be at a local mental health facility for awhile and won't have her cellphone. Poor girl has lots of issues; hope they can help her.

If there is any good side to this, I guess it would be that she almost certainly didn't really want to kill herself. Most of the people that are deadset on it use a more lethal method. So, I'm thinking this was more a rash reaction. Regardless, I hope she is able to get help, as she needs to be there for her kid(s).
