Decided to try and go to a more quieter, local bar so dropped by here for the Monday night Football game. The place was pretty dead. I'm actually surprised how empty is was, especially for game night. But luckily enough I sat with a local Korean girl named Lei. I'd say she's mid 20s, decent looks and a big bootie. Girls working here aren't dolled up as the ones over at Camelot or anything but I guess this is how local bars are? Not sure since this was my first one but it was cool. It definitely is a plus when the bg speaks fluent English. You can make jokes and be all sarcastic and they get it. Bought her a few drinks (it was only. 1 each!) and just talked story for a couple hours. Not sure if play is to be had but she's very friendly and kind of flirty so I think catching her later on in the evening when there's more liquor consumed would lead to great dividends.

Does anyone know of younger, local girls that play? Or is it just accepted that they don't and I'd have to stick with the FOBs to get any action?

These types are also spoiled by the bigger fighter type LVB, (just my opinion only) The strip clubs is a lot easier if you want to get the young locals. I have gotten lucky with a Japanese bar girl that was originally from japan but moved here when she was young like 10 that worked at a local japan style KB. That was an extremely rare occasion and I first met her on her first day at work before she got popular so that had a big influence on me hooking up with her later.

Went tomorrow early today around 5:30 and to my surprise was busy. Other bars slow or dead so was wondering why and it dawned on me that its "NEW" for at least a couple weeks, hehe. One hottie seen with short denim pants and white top kind of tall. Bar was kind of full and I guess lots of LVB checking out the new talent or non talent as the case my be. Day Bartenders are typical no personality and shit service unless you buy neko. They nothing to look at either. Didn't want to stay and wait for the night crew and left just now! Hmmm, do I go home or what? Maybe I better be smart and stay NEON, I'm doing good in that regards lately. One of these days I might even graduate to being smart and don't go Kbars, but I don't think I'm THAT smart, LOL

The "LVB for KBG" support system will falter (run out of money) , need maintenance (spend plenty of what no more to operate) , new parts (need cash infusion) , & eventually broke (OMG!). But never saw an LVB model that lasted for long without brains for fuel; in time they all get flat tires and need a tow to the junk yard.

I'm getting inspiration from the folks protesting the greed of Wall Street and financial institutions. They make us broke, we bail them out, they use the money for parties and vacations, and no pay back. No conscience, ethics, & class. The protests are business models of the KBGs. Uff them. Get plenty places to drink, eat, & have fun.

Three-day weekend forsome; have fun and use the wisdom within.

Kools in Kalihi was busy due to the Boise / Fresno St. Game. Beaucoup pupus served by bartender and anxious KBGs for the hook-up. Entered the joint and owner was all excited and noisy,"Sit at bar! No! Sit at table! Sit table and somebody come take care!" Told her to take it easy and sat at the bar; she murmurred something in yoboseyo and walked away, guys on the bar laughing. Anyway, they tried to go out of their way too much; I guess business has dried up and they got to make a kill with whatever enters the landing zone. There were some KBGs there worth the try but better if they make the first move, IMO. Several LVBs obviously not happy with competition and their dreamboats trying to hustle business.

In contrast, Pharaoh and D'Amour slow. Several KBGs having strokes and heart attacks complaining about business. But I know they pull these stunts to get nekos via pity and mercy. Sure enough, three guys took the bait and bought them nekos until their LVBs came to the rescue. Ho hum, the guys got suckered and the KBGs abandoned the nekos for their LVBs in the booths. Same script, different show. Decided to leave Hollywood as dinner at home seemed to take priority rather than seeing guys eat KBG BS.

As expected, Monaco is closed. They closed on Oct 1. Not unexpected, the place was DOA from the day they opened. The "mama" had no business opening up as she had no skills to run the place. I'm kind of surprised that they stayed open another month, it just prolonged the agony IMHO. The place had NO chance with that "mama".

Let's hope that a more experienced mama will take over and open up but like Casino the place may stay closed for awhile unless the landowner can make the rent cheap for someone to open up.

Actually there was a nice looking girl working about a month ago. My friend sat with her. The mama came by and asked the girl to have my friend buy mama a drink, then the bartendress. My friend was interested in the girl so he bought the mama a drink. 15 minutes later the mama was back telling the girl to ask the customer to buy mama another drink. The girl made a face and then reluctantly asked my friend to buy the mama a drink. He laughed and said that he wasn't stupid and left not long after. Real dumb, they had a hard time bringing in the customers and when a customer comes in they chase him away with the hard sell "buy everybody drinks". The girl didn't stay very long, only a few weeks. She wasn't into the bar scene and moved back to where ever she came from. Too bad, she chose the wrong place to get into the bar scene and got the wrong introduction to the scene.

As everyone has mentioned, the kb's has been slow lately, even camelot isn't busy on many nights. Customers just aren't spending money like they did years ago. Either that or we all got smart (not a believer that it is because of the "boycott").

I used to frequent the KB where D'amour is currently located (the bar next to Pharaohs on Kapiolani).

Six years ago, I used to go to the current D'amour bar (probably was still called D'amour back then) , and mingle with this KBG named "Michelle."

She was probably in her mid 40s, but had nice C-sized racks.

She was also very friendly, laid back, and didn't wear too much make-up. Unlike the majority of KBGs where every mm of their face is coated with some kind of powder and lipstick.

Do you guys know if she moved to another KB? Is she still living in Hawaii?

I left Hawaii in 2008 to work on the mainland. Moved back to the islands in June of this year, so I haven't been up-to-date with the KB scene in Honolulu.

Not to mention that the bars on the mainland in the midwest, and even the east coast are shittier than the KBs and VBs we get here in Hawaii.

Since I do not have access to make a new thread, I would like to ask you guys in the Korean bar thread if there are any Japanese bars in Honolulu?

I have been to many KBs in the past. I just recently visited a VB for the first time in my life.

I would like to try out a Japanese bar with BGs.

I believe there is one on S King Street, near the McCully Street intersection. But where else are there J-bars?

Another one is La Vi En Rose next to Napa Valleys bar on Keeaumoku. Other Japanese bars are in Waikiki.

Has anyone here tried to play at a jbar? I've asked jgirls why don't they don't work at kbars and they said they don't like tsukebe customers.

She was very bubbly, and not stuck up like a lot (or the majority) of the KBGs.

I hope to find her at one of the KBs one of these days.

However, its different from other bars. Money really talks and you may get the cold shoulder. Just act classy and polite, things should be fine.

Maybe this belongs in the General thread, but out in front near Panda Cuisine is a new Soba restaurant that just opened a few weeks ago. This hot petite j-girl came out and greeted me. And then I saw her face, and it was Alisa of Winner 8 infamy. She MAY or MAY NOT be working at Hibiscus, but she was definitely standing in front of it and went inside after. If you are avoiding her, be careful not to walk in there.

They cater to tourist who offer anywhere from 2. 5k to 5k for a weeks worth of time in which they play golf with them, go shopping etc, and even go to the bar with them later in the day. Of course after work they go to the customers hotel. They prefer it this way as the Japanese community is very small and they do not want word to get around that they are hoes so they stick with foreign clientele. Most girls do not like to sit with locals. YMMV though, as I have had a younger friend end up being a bf to one. I knew another that worked at one of these places and after work he would get the girls drunk and do it in the bar after work. If you really like that girl go there a few times buy her a few drinks like 3-4. Then when you have enough trust and rapport with her go in late one night to her work place. Then tell her you want to drink more with her after work. If she says yes, she is cool with you, and then get her drunk, and seal the deal. Had know clue what to to because at K / V bars I just start off perv action with them and if I see any sign of cockblockage I cut the line. I never like try anything at jbars cause everyone can see.

When to Cleopatras (old Club Tahoe) a couple of times this week. The place has been remodeled and cleaned up. Has a really comfortable feeling now. The owner is Kimberly who previously ran a few other places in the Kapiolani area. She has a collection that consists of quality rather than quantity. Nice looking 30 and 40ish year olds, great food too. Place was standing room only for the UH football game, even though the game was televised for free!
