Actually, I think the defunct club you are talking about is "Club Music Staff", on Florence about a block away from Figueroa. That place looked so gangsta even I did not venture into there!

I have been in Charlie's on a Thursday night at 10:30pm and have been "the other guy" in the club, meaning there were only two guys in the club (self included). The ladies know they are not going to see many customers in a night, so when they talk you back into a booth, you can bet your ass that if you are willing to spend some money, they are going to do whatever it takes to make your money. Bet on THAT.

I guess if I want the young tender black girls, the only place I can depend on finding them is at Ron's Barbary Coast. Or, hopefully, some will show up at KH8 or Charlie's soon.

These places can be interesting to hang out in and often a full half of the crowd is female and they have full bars, but you won't see any actual stripping. If you've got what it takes to pull non-pro girls in bars, then you can try your skills out in these places since they are packed with hot hipster wimenz. Most are there just to be part of a scene and aren't lesbians though a pro-active bisexual orientation could be assumed for many of them.

Cheetah's used to offer passable non-private $20 lap grinds but don't know if that's still true. Crazy Girls and Jumbo's you can fagetaboutit for anything that a jaded hardcore on this site would regard as a lap dance. The clubs were once topless bars but for some reason that I'll never understand, clubs in Hollywood are regulated in a way that others in LA city aren't even though Hollywood is fully part of Los Angeles.

Aside from Deja Vu which opened about a year or two ago on the Blvd, the only Hollywood spot where there is actual nudity is 7th Veil, and that may be across the WeHo line. Meanwhile, all the former topless bars were jumped on by the city and are now required to have the girls wear pasties like it was the 1940's or something. But these days the clubs that continued to operate don't bother with the creepy pasties. They just wear some kind of garment on top which never comes off and are essentially go go bars.

It's topless only and a couple of the girls on shift are usually amazing, the rest are average. But do NOT go here for a lap. It is done in the open and there is pretty much so zero exploring unless a slight brush of the hand counts.

The Playpen on Santa Fe between 7th and 8th downtown is basically down the street from Sams. Pretty much so anything goes up to the point of DATY here, you just need to ask the girl first if she's down with it. Most seem to say yes. They do have a VIP room that I have never been into. I have heard from one of the girls that FS goes on back there. The worst thing about the Playpen is the hostess. She will nag you for days about getting a refill on your drink as well as any of the ladies you talk with. She will latch onto you instantly like a leech and make at least 4 trips per minute to ask you to buy a drink.

Starting at around the COI and east is where the high mileage clubs start.

I think they closed for another reason, and their number has been disconnected.
