Camden police get tough on illegal drug buyers and prostitution.

In order to ensure a safe summer, the Camden Police Department has launched Operation "Crack Down," an array of operations intended to cut down drug distribution and prostitution schemes.

The operation has led to 110 arrests since last week.

'From barbecues to block parties to playing in the park, we want Camden residents to enjoy spending time outdoors with their family and friends during the summer months, ' Mayor Dana L. Redd said in a press release.

The operation targets illegal drug buyers who fuel the drug trade in Camden. More than 60 of these buyers have been arrested so far, and about half of them are based in the suburbs.

These drugs operations require police to pose as drug dealers so that drug buyers will reveal themselves. Police also went undercover soliciting prostitutes, leading to 37 arrests.

I moved to south jersey a couple of months ago. I had used some escort services in the past but I decided to try Broadway / Camden. I guess I thought that she would give me better service and I thought that she actually liked me. The reality is she would call me anyway cause she just wants money for her habit. The nonstop texts and calls continued. It was especially annoying because I would be at work and the calls would be nonstop. She would give me all these stories of how she needed money to pay warrants, didn't have a place to stay, needed food and was starving, her drug dealer was after her, she needed money to see a doctor, she just wanted to borrow money and would pay me back etc. Of course all of these stories were lies to try to get me to give her money. She even asked me to wire her money when I was down at the shore. Of course I didn't but I'm sure that other guys have. She has a bunch of guys she tries to scam money from. She just goes down her list of guys looking for money. Of course she never paid me back the money I gave her. Worse yet she called me from her boyfriend drug dealer's phone when her phone got shut off temporarily. Her boyfriend even sent me threatening texts one day. Well, I ultimately had to change my number which was a hassle because I had to notify all of my friends and family.

I learned alot from this experience. I think some of us want to help these girls out and show them we are nice guys thinking that they will view us as a friend or something more but nothing can be further from the truth. These girls just see us as a way to get money for their habit and nothing more. If you let them they will take advantage of you. Alisha is an attractive girl but mediocre service and alot of trouble. I would never give her my number again.

I chalked this one up as a donation to society. I didn't ask for my money back the first time she got back in the truck cause I didn't want an argument, and I didn't want to get stabbed. I am a licensed firearms owner, and I can't carry my firearm for protection in Jersey, so it cost me $35. 00 in loss funds to get rid of her.

After that I drove around for a few more minutes and spotted a nice looking black girl, and she did the right thing and gave me what I asked for. Totally made me forget about my bad experience a few minutes before, and she did tell me Sonya has a bad name on the streets.

So yea. I got another quick lesson on streets smarts tonight.

She has tried that crap with me too. I met Alicia about a year ago in the same area. She was hot! Very good looking lady, at least she was then. You forgot to mention the tatoos on her thigh too. Almost everyone has done these mistakes. Just get a google voice phone# and configure it to forward calls to your real phone. This way you don't have to carry another phone. If you have an iphone or another smart phone you can install an app, that will make it easier to make calls.

With that said, don't tell your real name to a girl either. I have told my real name to few girls and one girl was trying to get my attention by calling my name when I didn't stop for her. .

Driving over the bridge on bway from GC. Saw a congregation of unmarks with the le outside chatting. Maybe preparing for something? Most vehicles untypical, including a pick up. This was 11:30am

CAMDEN — Camden police arrested 110 people last week in a crackdown on prostitutes and drug buyers in the city.

In undercover operations, police arrested 64 people who attempted to buy drugs from officers posing as dealers. Half of those people were from outside of the city.

Police also charged 37 women with prostitution offenses during an operation where officers posed as customers. Officers posing as prostitutes in turn arrested nine customers.

The operations were performed by the Camden Police Department Special Victims Unit and General Investigations Unit.

I cruised the a few nights ago around 8 PM for a while. Things seemed basically back to normal. I saw plenty of the regulars and a few faces I didn't recognize. I came across at least two unmarked uncle Leo's, one in a plain white van and the other in a small sedan, and maybe even another in a Ford Expedition, so needless to say I was extra careful. The triangle area was full with plenty of pickings. Talked to one 19 year old who ended up being much better looking from a distance. For those that know Missy, she is definitely not doing good. Thinnest I have ever seen her and recently lost her place and phone. Breaks my heart to watch the devastation that addiction brings.

Maybe it's time to pay the toll and check out K ave. Sounds like things are pretty good there lately.
