I was able to enter this hobby only because I was saving my singles every time I broke a larger bill, and putting them aside to buy a boat. Then I met a hot young SW. I spent my boat money on her, a little at a time. I also have a hobby restoring vintage road bikes and reselling them for cash. That, too, pays for my primary hobby. Eventually, my income grew to such that I could afford the hobby without affecting finances. Now I have more than enough to cover all of it.
