This is one of my regular places. The experience is almost always the same which can get boring. The workers are usually in their 30's and I've never seen a "fat" or ugly one. Looks, body, face, I'd say consistently 7ish. IMHO

I have actually found the Phx does not put the adult section in all it's papers, certain areas like grocery stores get a cleaned up version.

Had a little time to kill and decided to check out the "new" Angel's. New boss is same as the old boss. Angel still looks good. Gone are the two way mirrors in the front. They are renovating the place. Did see Rita and Galina. Rita does appear to be brazilian and is very cute and only slightly overweight (others may not say at all but I like slender, fit). Galina is russian and is fit. At first, she did not strike me, but she is attractive. Did not get a massage, but may book in the future. If you check campaign donation records you will see that the owner of the Phoenix chain is one of the biggest contributors to the Democrat party in this state. For 5 years he and his wife ( Judge Maria Lopez from TV) have tried to shut down CL's adult list because of the financial hit his papers took in revenue from the loss of ad's in there adult section. The Phoenix charged a minimum of $100.00 a week for there ad's and up to $650.00 a week for a larger ad. Those here who remember the Phoenix having 8 to 10 solid pages of escort and Massage ad's a week see how there has been a major drop in that section of the paper of paid ad's. I remember quite a few times when people (providers and clients) where victims of many crimes and on TV they use to refer to the Phoenix when they spoke of these events. That ended in 1995 or so because the owners of the Phoenix had many connections in the Media and the government. For over 40 years the Phoenix's bread and butter was the "erotic" section. If Martha was worried about Craigslist effect on Boston she sure was not worried about the Phoenix's effect on Boston. Decided to visit Bonan today after hearing so many good reports about this AMP. Called ahead to see if they had an appointment available and was happy to hear that they had one available and so I headed on over.

Part of this game, as DW knows and tdgranite you should be taking notes here, is the value of a recon.

You go in. You take in the lay of the land. Does it look promising? Who is working? Are they old? Young hot? Maybe you run into someone you've had at another location. Are they all LB's? Over all, I would say that the new management is doing a good job.They hired new talent most of which is under 40 and non seem to have an attitude. Only one woman ( really tall) is still there from the old crew. They have cleaned the place up. Installed new hot towel machines in the rooms. They must have used 6 towels on my massage the last time I was there. The new steam bath stall looks good but its too hot to try it now. I'll wait till the weather gets colder.

They also keep track of their reservations. They turn walk ins away when they are all booked up ( what a concept) so if you do make an appointment chances are it will be waiting for you if you arrive on time. They do not short change you on your time. Last time I went I paid the $ 90 for the table shower but I was there for an hour and a half of its all about me time.

Have to tell ya man..when it comes time to look for good info I'm looking for Dan's and YT's posts first time everytime. Just the way it is bro. And as mentioned a good recon is just as good as a visit....most of us know certain ladies who work at certain places and expect certain things from them. Just driving through the towns around Boston, it is really quite striking how many AMPs --and I suppose, non-AMPs, but as my moniker suggests I am an AMP fellow--have sprung up without, as you observed, a commensurate improvement in service or a drop in price/ tipping expectations.

All I can figure is that a lot of fellows are fully satisfied with a towel-wrapped mini-massage, followed by light, accidental teasing and an invitation to return for more bottled water and candy the following week. Yet the number of really reliable places has dropped to a handful... and even most of those are somewhat inconsistent of late.

The other explanation is that they do not need to earn money, and the ladies at the AMPs do not care that much if they sit around watching dust motes settle on the heads of the Lucky Cat dolls on the front desk!

I will not go into extensive details , but will point out this:
The most reviewed place in the last 3 months has been Bonan. And for one reason only :JoJo. As far as I know she is the only true gem out there. Truly a sad state of affairs.
Even sadder for me as I hate busy places and refuse to return even after 2 great sessions!

I have also seen the same thing. I usually find the non Asian places with young hot woman offer poor massage and expect a GIANT tip for any addtional activity UPFRONT. They have this feeling of entitlement.

The older more mature woman usually have better attitudes.

The Asian places offer better service and value.

There are exceptions to the above but overall I feel I am pretty accurate.
