Ok, I have read somewhere that Kyoto requires an I'd to be presented and that they keep your name in a list. Is this true? I was considering checking it out this weekend, but don't like that idea. Carson Street it's probably a stretch as a walk, but it is doable. There you have a few shops that at least offer HJs without much of a hassle. Also some bars to visit while you are out.
