Out for a cruise this afternoon. More window shopping than anything. I wanted to check out the western portion of McMicken. I am familiar with the area, but didn't realize anything went on up there. I would love to steer clear of OTR for a little while. I'm comfortable there, but would like some new offerings.

Actually, I meant to put a smiley face after my last comment as it was meant to be semi-humorous. I say "semi" because I actually did contact an escort about an appointment for tomorrow. (Genesis, if anyone wants to give me a review.)

Believe me, I understand your trepidation very well as I have had a few close calls in the past several months. You have to enjoy "the hunt" to pursue the SW scene, in my opinion. O. M. G., you would think that if any SW see's the police they would keep a very low profile especially if they are nearby. But no, there is a cops with his lights on, and the SW's around are still trying to flag cars down, and the fags never moved an inch. It is little wonder why LE has such easy picking in the area.

This all happen last night, when LE pulled over some driver, near Mohawk & McM. I parked on Stark to get a beer at the corner store, and saw the lights. There I walked to the corner and saw a few of the regulars and one kinda new short SW, still walking and giving the EYE to drivers as they passed by, and a couple were even waving at drivers. The cops could still easily see, them no more than 50ft away.

I drove around drinking my Bud/Double-Duce, and saw the same SW's walking down McM near the park and the police still looking in there direction.

I had earlier taken a few trips down McM to MLK, and saw two SW's. Even up to Walnut it was MT. There was nothing at night for anyone worth hitting on. I must be waiting too late to go out. I prefer the darkness. Things go better at night.

Even the BSW down on Linn were gone for the most part. I did not find anything. I will have to expand my cruising to other areas. It is to the point where decent SW's can not be found on the street. I like the Hunt, but the Game is on the Endangered Species List.

So I am back to the P/T's. Even that is bad enough, because they just don't understand the need to keep minutes on their phone. Only a few can still text message without minutes. So how can you ever contact them. And for me, just dropping by is out-of-the-question.

I work nights and was headed from a downtown location to NKY and decided to make a run down McMick before heading down to KY. Got on Mcmick off of Main heading toward MLK and seen 1 WSW and a BSW before the Imperial but they had guys near by so decided to keep on driving and see what else was on the menu. I've seen massive speed traps the last two Friday afternoons on 71 around the Dana/Smith-Edwards/Lateral area. 2-3 cruisers in each direction, pulling over car after car. I have no problem with LE doing their job, but busting people on the drive home from work seems in poor taste. You really need to watch your speed going around that blind curve going North just past Dana.

On I-75/71 are a method of generating cash from federal law enforcement assistance grants.

The system basically looks at a county and adds up the number of tickets written on interstate and US routes (ie 50 & 52). The higher the ticket count the greater the "problem", hence a greater need for federal funds which can be used to buy things like new cruisers/radar guns and cover the manpower costs for enforcement. It's not unusual on the KY side of the river to see a cruiser from say Boone county clocking on I-275 in Kenton, this is a case where the local authority has been given a grant and needs to sub-contract the enforcement as they do not have enough officers to cover the requirements of the grant.

For the local authority its a fine line to walk, money for 2 or 3 cruisers will cover the costs of an officer for a year. If the crime rate goes up and the people in the community see the cruiser with the radar gun as being one that should be on patrol it becomes a question of manpower costs to keep the grant vs the costs of running over on the budget.

Question: Anyone see the WSW on Elm a block near McM. This was about 10pm last night. Made a couple passes up and down McMick last night around 8:30 seen a lot of LE out. The LE presence was heavier than I have ever seen it, spotted 3 cars stopped with only parking lights on in random spots on or right off of McMick. I also seen 3 or 4 other LE cars driving around the area. FYI ... I normaly donate .2 or .25 with a .05 tip (if deserved) and I did let her know that this was more than the normal however I was feeling genorus and I knew she would make it worth it, which she did. Aditionaly I didn't bring change.

Made two cruises through last night (Vine & McM to MLK and LPH). One from about 4:30-5:45 (many passes) and from about 6:45 til 8. Saw 1 bsw and a few wsw and a tranny. Nothing compelling enough to pull over. I did see one LEO parked in the empty lot at the corner of Elm and McM. Be careful out there...
