I went to the Home Show Sunday afternoon and then headed over to Washington park for a scouting trip. I had set up a "date" with my regular gal for later, but I wanted to prime the pump by watch the girls at the clubs. I went to C-Mowes and had a coke. Nothing worth spending any more time on so I went to Dollies. I was in the place maybe two minutes when "Tori" a tall blonde about 125# and mid 30's in age came over to me. You are so correct in the price being to high. I think she thought because I looked like I had the donation, that I would spend it. I haven't been there in a while, but here's how it used to work:

The booths have two sections, one with a chair/couch for you, and one across with a chair/couch for the girl. There is no glass between, but they have infrared alarms that keep you from touching the girl (or her you). I can't help you on prices, unfortunately.

I'm a seasoned veteran of the East Side. I'm in my 40's and have been going over there since I was 20 years old. I have been to every strip joint over there many of them more times than I could ever possibly count. I'm talking all the way back to the first one which was Art Mowes Key Club. I have now been in 4 different buildings with the name of Art Mowes or C-Mowes. The reason I'm letting you know my history is to show that I've been out there long enough and seen so many ladies that for me to even write about one is something in itself!

After they re-opened C-Mowes this last time I went in there once, looked around seen a bunch of dogs, and walked out. I didn't go back for a couple of months until a friend (who is married to a stripper from another club) confided in me that he had gone to C-Mowes a couple of time and had gotten "Privates" from a really hot lady named Harley. Anyway Harley always works Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday Days from noon till 8pm That's her set schedule. Spent a couple of hours in Roxy's this afternoon. About 8 dancers working with an equal number of customers. Got plenty of stage time and a very satisfying private before calling it a day.

I visited Dollie's and C-Mowes Friday night between 1200AM and 200AM.

Both places were dead.

There were about four dancers at Dollie's, including a fairly attractive, thin blond who was drunk off her ass. I overheard her stating that she is thirty-two years old and has been dancing since she was seventeen. She stated that she previously worked at Hustler but was fired. She had the undivided attention of another patron, and I didn't try to spend any time with her. There was a dancer who was rather humongous. The other two dancers were occupied the entire time that I was there. The night was bitterly cold, and the local L.E. officer arrived at the club shortly after me. His presence did not deter any activity. He was a friendly fellow and knew the staff and a few of the patrons. Since there wasn't much opportunity at Dollie's, which is a favorite of mine, I went to C-Mowes.

C-Mowes was worse. The barmaid was an oppositional loudmouth. While there were nine or ten dancers, and about as many patrons, there wasn't anything happening. The dancers were pretty hot, but I didn't see any private dances, and the dancers were sitting at the bar with patrons except when on stage.

I hate to tell you this, but racial stereotypes exist in strip clubs. I have seen it several times. I think that it is based on past experience of black men not being good tippers. I have also seen black dancers ignored by white patrons.

Strip clubs are a place where our personal predigests come out. I have had many great dances from black girls, but do not choose go to the stage for black girls now. My tastes have changed. For that matter, I used to be a big boob man, now, give me A cups and I'm happy.

It is possible that some clubs and dancers are more outgoing than others. After all, you are black, but your cash is still green.

I have been told by some dancers that they will not dance for black men, I am sorry to say. On the other side of the story I am a white male that like black ladies. Most of the time their skin is very soft. I have only been to the Pink Slip one time, but that one time I had a bad experience. Some of the dancers would not dance for me. I then had some large black men (three men I think) stand behind me and start singing honky in the house. Then a very large dancer came to my aid and took me to her stage. By this time, because these guys were standing there watching me, I thought that I would be mugged on the way to my car. However, before going into the Slip I had put most of my money into my shoe, so I had just under 50 buck in my wallet. I took all of the money out of my wallet (making sure that the guys saw that my wallet was empty) and gave the money to the large dancer. She very happy and gave me a big hug, and placed my hand on her boobs. I said thank you for looking out for me and told her that I was leaving. She walked me to the door, grabbed my butt and said "I got your back". This was years ago and I have not been in since. They may have changed since then, I do not know. It is interesting in that most of society strongly looks down at these girls and yet many times you will find girls whom will no engage the services of a 1. black man or 2. hispanic.

I suspect in Wash Park this has more to do wit social economic issues than pure race. Wash Park is dominated by blacks and is very poor. The same problems happen for slobby white guys as well. Prejudice my friend is alive an well everywhere.

Personally I like women of all flavors as long as I am attracted to them. I have been with women of all flavors for that matter. Too bad not everyone works that way.

I think you just happen to walk in there and it was bad timing. Most of the time the girls that work there now are so hard up they won't care what color you are. Try it again.

Being ignored by that dancer may or may not be a racial thing in that situation, but it happens to everybody. It may actually be a matter of regular vs. non-regular. I am white and I get ignored sometimes in favor of a regular. If the other guy is her regular customer, she probably went right to him to keep her regular happy.

I'm fairly new to the board, but I have had my share of stripclubs the last couple of years and I have come across some of these incidents, specifically at pt's in centreville about 4 weeks ago. The way that I look at it is the entertainment that we go to see aren't exactly the smartest of individuals in society otherwise they would be in a different profession. In my past experiences with prejudice individuals whether they be strippers, men, or just bartenders is that the least educated individuals, want to continue to keep some type of social divide as it is the only way they can justify that the degrading profession that they are currently in. Now I don't want to be mistaken about my comment, so I'm clarifying that all human beings have self-worth and I'm not belittling (not sure if that is a word) erotic dancers, providers, or SW's. But overall if the ONE stripper won't take your money another one will. Next time if it happens what I usually do if the girl doesn't want to dance for me is to find another one that will and shower her with money (within reason of course) and to make sure the other one sees it. It may or may not have any effect on her (it usually does) but if not it makes me feel a whole lot better.
