Doing that (hitting up the new girls with "How much to fuck you?" messages straight out of the box) ends up scaring many of them away. Treat it more like setting up a date / starting a friendship and so on and it will work much better for you. Otherwise, you are better off just sticking to BP for free, I'd think.

You'll pretty much need a paid membership for at least a month. I usually develop enough contacts in a paid month that I can shut down my account after other means of contact are exchanged. When those have all run dry--usually somewhere in the year range--I start fresh with a new account.

I've found that, as with most "dating" sites on the internet, that the majority of contacts are fakes, flakes, or pros exploring a new venue. I'd say I run about a 10-20% conversion rate for a meet & greet, and at least half of those pan out into at least one encounter in private between consenting adults. You can either nurture the relationship into an ongoing one (which I prefer) or look for one-timers depending on your personal desires.

Usually, I've found SA to be cheaper than pros, typically less mechanical, and frequently much more enjoyable. Whether it's worth it or not depends on your expectations and your ability to separate the good from the bad.

In the parlance, you're looking for a "pay per meeting" arrangement rather than an allowance. While I've found an allowance to be more up-front expensive, I've usually found that I've gotten many more sessions with the allowance than I would have with a pro.

Watch out for sob stories, Golden Pussy Syndrome, and requests for money up front, keep your personal info private (you're a hobbyist, so you know this anyway), and be familiar with Backpage so you can spot the girls who advertise in both places.

As another resource, go to the Richmond, Virginia forum and look under their SeekingArrangement thread. They have FAQ's and thousands and thousands of pages of input from people all over the country.

In general, another thing I'd say is that it's a lot of work. If you're looking for a pro experience and approach it like you're dealing with pros, you're going to spend more time, money and effort than you would otherwise. The pro girls on there routinely get more from naive guys on SA than they get from their BP ads and are paying 2 x for pros.

If you want girls that aren't pro's and don't mind a lot of time investment, it's a no brainer. If you want a supply of hourly rate gals it's not the most efficient way to do it in my view, but a few of those girls are on there. If that's what you want, I'd just email all the girls on the site and some will say yes though the vast majority will not respond at all.

And if you happen to hook a newbie and you've set hourly rates and stuff in advance, you've probably screwed yourself and worsened the experience. I had a fun, pretty 20 yo newbie college student that used to drive an hour to meet me and would usually stay for 3 or 4 hours, and that was for what pros usually get for a rushed hour.
