They never seem to factor in the 5-10 minutes you wait before they come in, and 3 times they stepped out when another customer walks in. If it is more than 10 minutes I start backing $ off the tip. Sometimes it can be ridiculous like 20-25 minutes.
If I know I walk in at 6pm and their 10 fast clock says 6:55 when I walk out, I don't think about it until I get to the car and see the right time. If you challenge them on it they typically back off and say I forgot the time or I will give you an extra 10 minutes next time
