Couple years ago my pcp actually scheduled surgery to remove my enlarged prostate. For 6 weeks before the surgery I took zinc at the rate of 10 mg per kilo gram body weight with lots of water to flush it out. Was peeing every 30 minutes and was taking about 400-500 mg per day.

Came back for pre-surgery screening by pcp and he couldn't believe that the prostate had shrunk back to normal size! Canceled the surgery and I've been good to this day, but on a reduced zinc rate about 200-300 mg / day (sometimes only 150-200 mg) but spread out through 3 meals. Better to spread out the doses throughout each meal, beginning, middle and end otherwise you'll get upset stomach.

It works, is natural and allot cheaper than the prescribed medications you purchase. However sometimes it makes me fart more often than not, maybe should switch brand? Scared the heck out of one AMP provider went she walked on my back and the fog horn blew its top! ha ha

I need some senior advice. With APEC coming soon and HPD increasing their work hours knowing girls are coming here to service the APEC guys / girls; do you think it would be wise to lay low until APEC is over? I don't want to get swept up in the craziness. Thanks.

The treatment plant water is discharged about five miles offshore in over 500 feet depth. I think this allows that discharge to be carried out to the deep sea currents between the islands and heads down to the equator.

If your premises is that the jellyfish are feeding on bacteria, then the fact that the most active use of the ocean is on the south shore centering on Waikiki, Ala Moana Beach and Hanauma Bay. The bacteria would be from the humans entering the water and creating the environment for the bacteria to grow.

The human body sweats to get rid of waste we all generate, that is why body odor stinks. Also, the body's biggest organ is our skin, which replaces cells constantly throwing off dead cells. The ocean does a great job of removing sweat and skin cells, thus creating a great soup for bacteria to grow. Throw in the occassional pee and doo doo from kids and tourists, the ocean waters surrounding Waikiki, Hanauma Bay and Ala Moana are a vertiable petri dish for bacteria to grow on.

The jellyfish invasion is just nature's way of cleaning up our environmental messes. Remember these jellyfish invasions started to get noticable when the yearly tourist counts went over four million each year.

However, recently I witnessed a near bust where I saw a street walker attempting a trick then a plain clothes officer appeared out of thin air. Maybe I was too focused on the hot looking hooker but it sure made me think that I will stick to AMP's for now.

The Biggest Joke is this so-called Security Fence that lines Nimitz from the Dal-tile building to Aloha Towers.WTF is this fence for, it is Not even continuous! Anyone can go beyond this Million Dollar SEcurity Fence.

Ha ha[/QUOTE]Its funny that you mentioned this cause my pcp always pushes the natural way of doing things and he was trying to sell me a bottle that he has in his office for 20 bucks and I thought he was just trying to swindle me for more cash as he likes us to copay at the time of our visit, so I told him that I would get them at a later date. Never bought them but I was thinking vif I was going to get them I'd be cheaper if I went to a supplement store a bought them myself. The Box Jellyfish (Chironex fleckeri) do not live on bacteria. Rather, they consume mostly small fish and other small swimming creatures who come into contact with the deadly stingers on their tentacles. Upon contact, the stingers immediately inject a powerful nerve toxin which paralyzes the victim, allowing the jellyfish to draw the prey up into its body with its tentacles, where it is digested.

And deadly is the correct word, as the Box Jellyfish is considered to be one of, if not the most, deadly invertebrate in the ocean. Contact by humans has resulted in death in less than one minute. It is not surprising that this information is not better disseminated by the health authorities to the public, given the clear negative impact it would have to the local tourist industry.

The Box Jellyfish has surprisingly good optical sensory organs, six of them actually. They're not eyes in the true sense, but they are very sensitive to light. This explains, at least partially, why their movement is consistently synchronized with the maximum intensity of the full moon and why they come close to those shores which have the most night-time light, like the Waikiki area.

When I was a kid in the 60's collecting sea animals for my aquarium, I knew of the Box Jellyfish, but at that time it was known to live only in the South Pacific, around Australia. In the 40+ intervening years since then, it has somehow managed to travel an awful long distance and has now taken up permanent residence in Hawaii.

Be safe surfing the waves and the AMP's.[/QUOTE]You know what else I notice about them, is that after about 9-10 am, on a sunny day they seem to go away, so on the heavy influx days I never surf dawn patrol, and alway surf after 9-10am, so far so good! One time I got stung three time in one surf session early in the morning, got needles from head to toes, could hardly breath, started sweating profusely, my body was going into shock and of course the pain, did the vinegar thing, wasn't working so I decided to head to the hospital but I didn't want to put my clothes on with all that vinegar on me so I jumped in the shower to wash off and as soon as the hotvwater hit me I felt instant relief, I mean instant at that point I knew I didn't need to go to the hospital. So the moral bof this story is if you happened to get stung by these box jellyfish, jump. In the shower and use. Hot water, bi don't kjow if bit was the combination bof vinegar and hot water or just hot water, so try the hot water first and if that don't take the bpain away then try vinegar and then hot water!

Like was said about box jellyfish, they have 'eyes', and are drawn to areas with certain types / colors of light. That's why there are more on the town / waikiki side than other areas. UH has studied them, and that's what they have come to learn, is that box jellies will swim towards light. The lights of ala moana and waikiki draw them to those areas.

So you were able to drive home while this was happening to you?[/QUOTE]Yes I was able to drive home in a great deal of pain and sweat, and mind you I had just gotten out of the water in the morning, yet I was sweating profusely, I wasn't hot but it was just a reaction to the venom. But about an hour after arriving home the stings got worse and worse not better, this is where the needles from head to toe and the difficulty breathing occured and the decision made. Definitly box Jellyfish sting as the shoreline was just littered with them but I was set on surfing. I tell you what the box jellyfish sting is way more sore than the portugese man of war sting but the one thing that makes the P. Man o war sting bad as well is the lenght of their tenticles, two feet long can be the normand when they get wrapped around a leg or arm, the lenght of exposure can five seconds long, whereas the box jellyfish has only about 6-8. Inches tenticles in my estimation so getting a tenticle wrapped around a leg is unlikely, even an arm, but getting them trapped between my torso and my board is a problem, which happened twice that day, and once it brushed my leg. Getting the jellyfish trapped between my board and me is unlikely but I was just so unlucky that day and also there was so much in the water that day but nomally you'd just brush up on one but that's all you need to hurt! And you're right the hotter the water the better it felt!

Have any of you guys tried the HMMC? Just curious because I called and talked to some guy who explained to me that the cost of the visit is $190 and implied that the results are guaranteed based on an exam by a physician. The also run some blood tests to determine the dosage of the meds. The results would be an erection within the hour. They would be assigning a prescription for you to take which is good for a year. Not sure if the prescription is a added cost. The package sounds good. He emphasized that it is nothing similar to Viagra or Cialis, etc. They would need info on what medical conditions you have and the meds you are presently taking. Sure curious if anyone has anything to add. The promotional ad is in the daily newspaper. I also checked the website and it indicates that they are a national clinic system.
