I don't know any girl that loves too sleep with 5 -10 guys a day or more many times they have been beaten, robbed or raped or worse. I've got too know a few girls over the years and they all seen depressed, stessed out and sleep deprived. One girl I've gotten to know really well and it opened my eyes too what these girls really go threw on a daily basis. She tells me all the time she wants too get clean and help and get out. But it seems she's in a "trap" situation she works too get high never has any money for food everytime I see her she's always hungry and I always feed her. And the people around her always feed her the drugs too control her. Its a very sad situation I've even offered to her help too leave but I think she's afraid of the unknown. Like I said very sad I know theres alot of you saying this is "captain say a ho" no its not that look at from the human aspect. What if it was your mother, daughter or sister?

We're certainly taking advantage of them, but even if we didn't they would still be in the same situation. Maybe I'm splitting hairs and rationalizing, but that's just reality. In fact, if we didn't solicit them they would probably engage in more serious, real crime like theft and robbery.

I used to see an Asian polyglot SW named Niah semi-regularly. She was a reliable provider who provided great service, and generally seemed like a nice person who never tried to rip me off or scam me, though she could be moody and I think she was a user. Several months ago another SW told me she was arrested for shoplifting. Since she had multiple offenses she'll be in prison for at least a few months. This is what many other SWs would do if they can't make enough money turning tricks.

That said, I'm absolutely in favor of having counseling and social services available to SW who want to make a genuine effort to get their life together and make things better for themselves. Unfortunately, even if better counseling and treatment were available, many of them are incorrigible; that's just reality.

OK, with all that said, I haven't much luck contacting the few providers who's info I have, so if anyone can provide me with contact info for a good provider(s), it would be greatly appreciated, esp those who do BBBJCIM. I recently moved to the West Seattle area, so contacts in the SW area (West Seattle, White Center, Burien, etc.) would be especially helpful, but I can also make the trip to Aurora or even further north if it's worthwhile. You can offer help, but at the end of the day only they can change the situation and accept the help. That is definitely not a healthy relationship. If you fell in love with a drug addicted hooker, first you have to ask yourself if you're really in love with her or you're just lonely and desperate. Then ask yourself if she is willing to change and accept help. Offer to take her to counseling, anonimous group meetings etc. If she doesn't take the help and doesn't want to change I would walk away and not look back.

I usually loop around there just to check but really haven't seen much lately. Usually, the time would be about 11 PM to 3 AM. Generally, you will find them (in order) 15th and the side streets up to the park. 16th (the main street) getting out and walking helps alot here, then 14th (east of 15) and then 17th (west of 16). For a few months the shopping center was also a good spot (homeless women looking for dates / cash). Since a good friend of mine owns one of the bars that I've encountered working girls in, I'm not going to give a name, but I will tell you there are 3 dive bars there and I've encountered working girls in 2 of them. The third place I don't like, so I don't go in, but I've picked up a few right in front. In both locations, the women that I've encountered were not people I would pay for sex. Though I did encounter one and when I tried to leave with her, her madam / pimp (a woman) stopped us at the door and told me that if I wanted to take her I needed to give her at least $30 first (depending on what I wanted to do with her). I was not going to stand outside a bar and discuss sex and prices with some loud mouthed woman and I refused to give her money or even speak to her. I went back inside and had another drink. The woman (a total sweetheart), came back inside and explained the situation she was in (no place to stay and was being allowed to live with the woman rent free and just had to work a few days each week to cover her rent) and asked me to at least listen to the woman and maybe we could agree on something. So, against my better judgement, I went out to talk to her again. The madame / pimp thought because I came back out that I was desperate and doubled the price. I just got in my car and drove off to 15th and immediately saw two people working and snagged one of them. She is having sex with you because you are giving her money / buying her things. That being said. If you enjoy spending time with her, go ahead and do it and enjoy yourself, but if you're looking for a real relationship this won't be it. I've spent most of my single days chasing screwed up women that I hoped would change. They don't. If you are spending alot of money on this woman, then find someone that is unattached and spend that money on them. They will be more appreciative and will probably fall in love with you.

The girl I was so in love with has been bouncing in and out of detox and rehab for the last six months, and it kills me inside.

But she is a heroin addict. I can't fix that. I actually made it worse by giving her money. She needed to hit rock bottom, and I couldn't watch her suffer. The best thing I ever did for that girl was to walk away. And it broke my heart to do it. That's how you know it's real love, when you do what is best for someone, even if it is not in your own self interest.

If she doesn't have mutual feelings for you, be very, very careful for your sake and hers.

Many prostitutes grow up in abusive, neglectful, or otherwise emotionally deficient situations. Consider what the long-term psychological effects are. If she was abused growing up by someone who was supposed to love and nurture her (father, stepfather, uncle, brother, etc.), she might now as an adult have a really warped perception of what love. This perception might be unconscious. She might perceive the abuse by her pimp / boyfriend as love. I know that might be difficult to believe, and it's sad and warped, and I'm just speculating, but that is the psychology of many woman who remain in abusive relationships.

As other posters have mentioned, ultimately she's the one must take the initiative to leave the abusive relationship. If this eventually happens I think it's fine for you to offer her reasonable help, but for right now be very, very careful with your own feelings. Since she doesn't have the same feeling for you, carefully consider how far you're willing to go. For now I would say it's fine to let her know that if she really wants to change her situation and leave both her pimp/boyfriend and prostitution you are willing to help her, but only if she's serious. If she tells you she is make certain she is, then both of you need to figure out a plan together. There are probably social service agencies who can provide her with resources and counseling. Contact the Seattle Dept of Human Services for more info if and when you think she's truly ready to change.

Tiffany and I are finally back!! We worked last night on AA and realized LE wasn't really caring. Yes, as soon as LE saw us they would pass by here and there. But, they where to busy with whatever was going on over by Taco Bell (90th). Didn't really see a lot of other SW out last night. Has AA changed since we where gone?
