Making this post rather anonymous of where I was and who I was talking to. Point is wondering if the observation that she made is ever practiced.
She was relatively new at this establishment and talked about how when she started, management told her not to do certain things etc. After a little time there she found out things did happen there and wondered to me if the said dancer paid off someone to look out for her (I think she was referring to the bouncer / floor manager, not another dancer).
Anyone know if this happens, how often, where?
My take is that it probably does happen but in general, most establishments will tolerate girls doing a little more as it will keep customers coming in hoping to get the same level of service.
Reactions? Stories?

Reactions? Stories?
You want a sure thing go there although by the lack of recent reports I suspect they are closed for the winter. Thing is this girl comes to you inquiring about what takes place in a club the only answer is random. My guess is she is just acting stupid as her own approach to see if you LEO maybe, and of course like any woman lying is easy because she knows what management tells her but contrast that with what she also knows what women do best at cigarette break confide in each other and build trust with their war stories.
She should have been a lawyer by her use of language places doubt in your mind to see where and how to direct the show.

Reactions? Stories?
Don't mention the dancer but feel free to share the club. But yeah, I have seen some very aggressive encouragement from a daytime manager. Literally overheard him say during a heated exchange with a dancer that she should "do her job" if a customer wants it, but get more money.

Reactions? Stories?
In the clubs I frequent, management typically looks the other way, probably because the house takes 10 percent of all VIP room earnings. I feel sorry for some of these girls. The house takes a percentage, and they have to tip DJS who mostly play preprogrammed music. Sometimes there's a house mom who needs tipped. I won't name the club out of decency, but twice this week I heard some girls say they had netted just $8 to $20 halfway through a shift.

Business wise, I must tell you there is not one accurate statement in your post.
VIP club cut? Best I know of is 25% and most are 33%.
Pre programmed music? Just because music is played through computer software these days does not mean it is some how playing itself. The dj is still doing way more mentally intensive work than most people can deal with for 8 or more non stop hours. Don't believe me? Give it a try. I've seen more than one man who thought that was an easy job in tears within hours.
Any stripper with 8 - 20 dollars midway into her shift is either making a concentrated effort to not make money or, most likely, lying to you in hopes you'll spend money on her out of pity.
Will be visiting from out of town this week. What are best clubs in town? Or any to stay away from. Thanks in advance P.S. Ill be in Saint Petersburg area.
You are right about the VIP. Most times the club gets 33%. But of course, often times the girls get an extra tip too.
Where I take exception is the talk about girls only having a few bucks half way through their shift. There are many times when a dancer only makes a small amount of money, especially on day shift where most of the money comes in near the end of the shift. And there are times when they leave with less money than they came with, depending on the house fees. And yes, she does have to tip the DJ. Usually based on the number of dances she did. The DJ has to work hard, no question, keeping track of the girls, often keeping track of the back room dances too. Tip out for the DJ is about $5 per dance I believe. But some girls tip more because then the DJ won't call them to the stage as often. Depends on the DJ and the club. Also pre-programmed music is still used on day shift at some clubs. Not all. Some even use juke boxes. Sometimes the DJ don't show up or has to leave to pick up a dancer who don't have a car.
And some clubs have a house mom. Not all clubs of course. That requires a tip-out as well. Frankly, if there are a lot of girls and very few customers, and very few of those are buying dances (and there are days when that is the case), there is very little money to be made.
Tip out for the DJ is about $5 per dance I believe.
Every strip club DJ in America would be ecstatic if this were the case. Industry standard is 10% with a $10.00 minimum. Most dancers make an effort to not hear the first six words in that last sentence and just hear "$10.00 minimum" and interpret that to be "Ten dollars is the least amount you can get away with.".
Also, any stripper whining to you about her DJ tip out is, most definitely, a girl who will make four figures in a shift and tip the DJ ten bucks.
For what it's worth, there is exactly ONE club in the entire Tampa Bay area that enforces the ten percent concept and will get rid of a girl who does not tip the DJ 10% and that is Ybor Strip, hence the reason those DJs don't ever even think about straying from that club.
Went to YS tonight and got a nice session in the private booth. The girl in question said that the manager had cleaned house that week and got rid of all the extra providers. I don't know if she was telling the truth, but I did notice several extras girls that were not working tonight. Mongers remember to be discreet and don't tell the girls what another will do in the booth. You know women can never get along and they will tell on each other. I saw it happen tonight.
It is true. Nobody is getting extras now.
It is true. Nobody is getting extras now.
I'll check in and report back. Had fun earlier in the week.
I'll check in and report back. Had fun earlier in the week.
Looks like you can still have fun in there. I did. Might be dependent on manager for short term but night time was still available.
Premise to suggest it was dirty to begin with. Slicky PR maneuver.
