Main South is pretty much dead these days. You see some remnants here and there but it's not as alive as two decades ago. Speaking of which, I learned that Crystal who was a staple of that area and scene passed away back in December. My recommendation to you all, find someone regular to see and once you build a trust, stick with her. I had about three I was dealing with but now it's just one. Stay safe.
It starts at Main and Hammond near Dunkin and goes down to McDonalds near Clark you. Both sides of streets as well, but they tend to stay in the shadows, so you have to go slowly and pull over a lot, watch the scene and do several laps, but not too many in a hour. They are out there, but not too pretty. Pricing starts at 40, so if you want to go less than that, only have less and they usually will take it, for instance just have 20- 35 on you, a twenty and three fives. Having two twenties on you only is dumb, hookers don't make change, and most won't go as low as 20 anymore, those days are over, but they will go 25 to 40, as I said, so be prepared. Your wallet, phone and extra money should be locked in trunk or lockable glove box, and you should also have wet naps, napkins and hand sanitizer in your car.
Have two ignition keys as well, one hidden away on you or somewhere in car, in case of any tom foolery key swiper / extortionists!
