I was in Camden late last week and I did see Shannon. She seemed to put on a few more pounds than the picture and her hair is now dark brown. She was walking with a taller blond.
Has anyone read or heard anything about traffic cameras in the area.

NYPD have been using the cameras (some in fixed locations and others mounted on squad cars) to randomly check out cars and locate stolen or unregistered vehicles. They can also be used to maintain a database of which cars were where and when. The article says Philly is starting to usee these too. Law enforcement has priorities and limited resources. These systems are largely automated with computers scanning input from the cameras. While they may be recording when and where a particular license plate was scanned, that would only become an issue if someone were to search the database for that number. The real application is to scan plates and compare to a database of wants, warrants or bolos. A stolen car that hasn't been reported stolen will never raise a flag. If or when Camden get to a point where they are using these cameras for tracking mongers, there likely won't be many SWs out there anyway. Such an economic and social recovery would drive such activities out of the city or underground. Hardly a likely prospect. Of course they could make the rest of Camden look like Adm Wilson Blvd. They did clean that area up. The greater danger would be caused by the "blue light" camera one sees in some areas of Baltimore and Philly. These are generally monitored by humans looking for suspicious activities. There have been some problems in Lancaster, PA where the camera system is monitored by a private company rather than police.
