I think it's a morality issue. One group of people trying to impress what they feel is right on others. People are going to do drugs and get stds, some may argue that escorts increase these issues. I'd also probably stop using shady sites and go with legitimate businesses (like bunny ranch) to cut down on the risks involved even if it cost a bit more. I also don't go for really young looking providers as is so it would have to be a complete bait and switch if one was.

However, I'd like to point out that legalization doesn't eliminate the worst parts of the industry: STDs, drugs, human trafficking, and abusive pimps.

Even bringing up the Bunny Ranch, I read a story a few years ago that basically stated that for most of the workers there, things weren't even better for them than when they were on the streets.

Disease and drug abuse were still rampant.

Managers were little better than pimps.

Some of the girls even kept the same pimps they had when they were street meat. One girl said she woke up to screams of her friend in the room next door getting the hell beat out of her by her pimp.

Security came by, got him out, and then within a week she saw her friend back with the pimp in her room again.

The main thing it will do is increase demand because now a lot of people who were scared will now want to see providers which means these pimps and traffickers will fill that demand by any means. Like kidnapping which is mainly what traffickers do. Kidnap teens and young women from one area transport them to work in anouther. By know means does making it legal makes it better for the women it puts our daughters in danger. And yes boys to I wrote about Candy being taken by tracffickers at 14 to 15 well her brother was also taken. There are some depraved men and women with moeny who will pay good for teens and younger. But you are correct it only makes it worst. I guess being the father of teen girls it bothers me more than someone who isn't. But if an establishment is legit how willing are they going to be to risk their license over trafficked girls? I am fairly certain the girls would have to go for regular screenings for stds and drugs and protection would be a requirement. Nothing however is 100% and the girls could see people privately still and not follow all the rules. Drug use is here to stay regardless of this hobby. If they aren't doing this to pay for it they will just find something else.

One thing legalization does is take a fear mongering tool away from the pimps and traffickers. They use the fact that what the girls are doing is illegal and one of many ways to scare them to behave and do what they are told.

The current law is designed in theory to do the same thing but all it will really do is make both sides more security conscious.

Hell the taxes along could generate enough revenue to pay for a lot of self help programs for the girls if they would chose to use it.

Haven't been hobbying for the past few months, been trying to save up some extra cash to buy a new car and I figured with the way the US has been going lately it was probably gonna get too expensive to do it later. In spite of this, the other night I decided to reach out to a girl I used to see pretty often and managed to talk my way into meeting up with her at a spot in downtown for some alcohol on a whim. She got out of providing a while back and started doing online stuff, said that a conversation she and I had about it was what finally got her to actually do it. Even been sober for just shy of six months. I don't remember the conversation at all but I didn't admit that.

She's still here as I'm typing this and has been since Thursday. Pretty much been doing nothing but boning and drinking the whole time. I guess the moral of the story is shoot your shot? I kinda just expected her to beg me for cash or stop responding when I sent that text initially but you never know if some random shit you said may have had a long term impact?
