Burner Phones, never call or text a provider without it. Period.
In addition to those rules, when I got my TracFone several years ago I went online to set it up. You can use any address you want to use I used one in a different area code from where I live, used a fake name, and address. I started out with 60 min for 3 months, they roll over so now I have over 700 minutes. Those minutes roll into a new phone if you get another TracFone. Mostly just text providers so I use very few minutes. I keep it password locked and if my wife ever ran across it my story is, "I found it laying in a parking lot, it is locked so I can't call the owner. I kept it because it can still be used to call 911 in an emergency where I didn't have access to my phone (car crash or robbery). ".
Put a label with someone else s name. Plausible deniability.
Erase your text messages and phone log frequently.
Always protect with pass code.
Never call your burn phone number from your regular cellphone.
Never call your real phone from the burn phone.
Buy phone and card with cash.
Never use your real name to register, although registration not required.
Avoid recharging over internet from your private computer, tablet, phone.
Do not hesitate to dump one burner for a new one if you get compromised.
Just some thoughts to keep you safe brother. DnC.
