The main difference between STARZ and KH8 is that at STARZ you have to ASK for extras. At KH8 a lot of girls there will just whip it out for you. I must last night after I got out of work I payed a little visit to the infamous kh8 and I must say. It seems like this question comes up about once a month. There are always guys in Starz and KHVIII that look like white tourists, there is usually an Asian guy in Starz that looks like an Asian tourist. So, in the clubs themselves, no problem.
As for the neighborhood. I am a big black guy native to the area. The neighborhoods around both Starz and KHVIII are relatively safe during the day. I'd feel "OK" about walking a block around them at night, but not much more than that.
As a white guy who occasionally visits KH8th, I can assure you it is safe and friendly. The staff is always nice, and the women are quite good looking. I'm Asian and there are a lot of Asians in the area (especially Rosecrans & Crenshaw). The area isn't bad to me, but then again I grew up in the projects. I don't know if the staff at Starz has remained the same, but it was always friendly back in the day.
