Don't zip tie to sterring wheel, zip to the steering column itself. Either way its nothing I have tried or plan on trying, I was merely passing along an idea a fellow monger posted some time ago. It should come as little surprise that the greater Southwest Ohio is a poor place to work. This was confirmed in an article in the DDN today. I was rather surprised to see it was dead last!! Go here for the full report.

Somehow I missed this article, but it is still current. Basically, the Canadian high court ruled against current laws restricting sex-worker rights. Although legal in most parts of Europe, it appears that this is the first move towards full legalization in North America. In Canada, there are no laws strictly against prostitution but rather organizing a business from it, I.e. Brothels. Go here for the full story:

BTW I encountered a de-facto brothel the other day here in Dayton (I might post about it). I wondered there what is so wrong about to have a brothel. Easy for us, easy for ladies, safe for us, safe for ladies. City wants to disconnect prostitution from drug activity, they can if it is under their control. If the city wants a cut, tax it.

Will we see legalization of prostitution in Oho before we become too old? Will see.

Does anyone seriously believe that if the US and or Ohio legal system would decriminalize prostitution, that girls strung out on drugs or currently working at the discretion of pimps, psychos and whatever else one could imagine, would suddenly abandon their underground lifestyle and race down to the city registrar to apply for a license to work legally in the sex industry, inviting government regulation and scrutiny. I'm all in favor of decriminalization, but to think that the existing underbelly of the sex trade will be noticeably different, is just unrealistic. What we would receive is another class of providers driving out the current crop of quality utr ladies that many of us now share a friendship with. Whether it's Canada, Amsterdam, Nevada or Ohio, the problems associated with the underground sex trade will not go away, any more than problems associated with gambling when the lottery and legal Casinos began to open; drug addictions as medical and now recreational marijuana shops were granted licenses, and alcoholism when prohibition was lifted. My Libertarian persuasion suggests that I'm all for letting people do what they want as long as they present no harm to others, but let's not be fooled into thinking that this would be done or cause any significant change for those currently being exploited and suffering from the industries ugly effects. The court is much more likely to be concerned about how to spend the revenue generated (for schools and the children, of course, ha!) than they would be about the safety of the girls, their clients or other occupational hazards. This will remain an interesting subject to follow, but I would not be expecting any significant changes to the landscape, if it would ever happen here.

I did see this Jan 2013 Chicago news report on mongers and it mentions a study of USASG.

The report indicates DPD had 28 people arrested last week, which by the way was again "National Johns Week". They say 15 for solicitation, 8 for prostitution, 1 for human trafficking, and 4 for promoting prostitution. I wonder if the 28 number is actually the total number of charges rather than actual people arrested. I am sure some of those arrested would have multiple charges.

Toward the end of the video, the news guy mentions that there are 53 HIV positive prostitutes working the Dayton streets. I must be missing something because I don't see DPD making many felony prostitution arrests. Have fun, but be safe!

Online records do show the lady has been charged in Dayton Municipal Court. Doesn't make a lot of sense.
