Sam Katz is not satisfied with the AMP scene these days. It has fallen off way too much. The girls are not too into it, the extras do not come often or at all, no AMP has even half the greatness as CH2 did, and the TS's will never be the same. I know everyone here is aware and agrees with me on this. Last night around 8 PM me and Mack Mittens went on a monger stroll down around the area of Mr. Ludlow. We proceeded towards the allyway the by pizza shop and ended up standing in front of the infamous "1800" and decided, why not? Mack Mittens pulled out his Visa card and said "lets do it" We walked up and went inside to the waiting room as the mamasan went to get the girls. I never seen this mamasan before in my life and I thought 1800 had closed, she said they were open and closed here and there. I asked to see all the girls please. 5 girls came into the room and let me explain what Sam was thinking- "Is this a line up or a police line up?" One girl was about 6 ft 2 with shoulders like Jevon Kearse. Another girl looked like a troll. And the other 3 were the perfect defintion of slightly below average. Mack Mittens gave me the look of "lets get out of here" I told the mamasan we left our credit card out in our car and will be right back. Like prison break, we made a run for it like we were being chased. Sam Katz and company WILL continue to search for a qualified AMP but it's not going to be easy. Til then, monger on my friends and smoke weed everyday.

There will probably never be another CH or CH 2 but the AMPs in Philly are still far superior to what you find in the rest of the country.

I have been to both Orange and New World in the past few months and have had good experience -- always leaving a satisfied customer.

Enjoy what you have and be glad you are not practicing the hobby in Chicago.

While I share Sam's disappointment, I have to agree with Philly Slim that Philly AMPs still are the best value going. I'm in NYC a lot and have found that not only is the experience no better (usally worse) the price is higher. I found nothing to compare to the value of Philly AMPs on the West Coast nor in the vast middle of the country (I admit I haven't tried everywhere).

Biggest problem in my mind is the staff turns over too fast for consistent improvement in quality. I'm not arguing for the same girls every week. But one of the several things CH had going for it was a few regulars to set the standard.

If you were working next to a Channel or a Jennifer, you had to perform. Now, with all new faces every few weeks, what's the incentive to please? There's no competition either short- or longer-term.

But I'm the optimist. And I'm betting that next girl is the one - so long as I'm spending my money in Philly.

There are too many providers, and not enough mps to work in. All need cash asap, hence the turnover. Many work as a supplement for their income. No other business can generate the Almighty $ as fast tax free.

I have never been to an AMP outside of Philly really so I do not know that they are superior to others. Korea is a whole nother level of AMPs believe that. Altough from what I read about stories in DC and Chicago, it seems as if we do have it good. But hey Sam Katz says that a CH2 calibur AMP will be around sooner or later. But as always will close down 9 months later. Debbie and campany are smart business people and know that even without advertising in the city paper, people will find there way to the AMP and pay for quality service and keep coming back and back and back and back with a friend which means tons and tons of money to be made. I guarantee someone is in the works right this second on returning those fine girls to Philly at a new location. Money talks on both ends.

I agree. Someday in the future, hopefully not too far in the future, an AMP will open of the caliber of CH 1 and 2.

I'm thinking about hitting-up IchiBan this weekend, does anyone know if it's still open? Same name? For those of you who don't remember that's where "2-pop Toni" used to work and they always seemed to have a decent selection with good service.

On another note, has anyone ever found an AMP in Manayunk? I know of Sun Spa on Ridge Ave. in Conshohocken (5 minutes outside Manayunk) but they are only rub & tub and KT2 needs FS.

Hopefully I'll have a detailed report posted before the Birds game this weekend.
