Traveling to Dallas, staying near the airport without a vehicle. I can take a cab, seems like Emerald is the place to go, however I don't want to leave a cab waiting for me out front. Is there a nice safe strip mall with a starbucks or something where I can get dropped off and then walk the rest? I expect it will be a daytime or early evening visit.
Visiting from Chicago next week. I've searched through the archives, and see the places to be. What is the going rates in this area? Back home it's between 1.6 and $$ at AMP's. Are there any EMP's in the area?
One thing I'd like to point out to the out of towners asking questions. When you go to the AMP, you should not directly ask for a massage as some of these places are no longer licensed for massages. Just say you'd like a one hour (or 30 minute) session. They'll understand you and won't assume its your first time there.
I don't live in Dallas but I'll try to answer a few questions:
R2D2: You don't specify where downtown you are staying. But Hawaii Spa should be close to you and it is considered one of the better AMPs in Dallas.
Perfectworld40: The closest places to be dropped off for Emerald AMPs are 2 gas stations, both at the corner of Royal and Emerald. It's a 2-3 minute walk from there to a bunch of AMPs. The area is safe to walk during the day and early evening. Could you rent a car at DFW? It should be cheaper than taking taxis, especially if you rent on the weekend. Why not ask the AMP if they'll call a taxi for you when you are done? I'm sure they'll be glad to do it.
The Icon: Dallas is slightly cheaper than Chicago. $ gets FS at most places. That is for the tip only, I'm not including the entrance fee.

I have been lurking on the board for a while and reading all of your reviews and I was having a shitty day at work so I decided I needed a treat and it was time to take the plunge and give an AMP a try.
Based on what everyone was writing I decided to start at the top with PINK. I just got back from a fantastic hour with the very hot, very talented Momo. This being my first time at an AMP I really did not know what to expect but WOW. I really enjoyed the experience. Lets just say it will not be my last time! Sitting in the room I saw a couple of the girls walk by and holy shit were they hot! Not regular hot but full on swimsuit model in a magazine hot. Door fee for 30Min was 40 and 1 hr was 60 (I went for the hour). Table wash was amazing. Phenomenal massage and FS.

Been meaning to post my review of Hawaii Spa which I went to back in March--and am glad that I did.
Went at about 5:30pm on a Thursday and it was quiet. Mamasan buzzed me in the door, took me to my chaning/massage room--and was also the one to give me the TS and massage. Not sure if that's because all of the girls were busy with other mongers or whether this is the typical way of doing things here (i.e. the girl who lets you in also gives you the massage). She was probably in her 30s or 40s, with a very nice rack and body. Not a stunning beauty, but not bad either.
Waited a bit long in the sauna; I could hear other man traffic but again, it was not too much.
TS was fun and very thorough--including mouthwash! LOL. Heard about that, but never offered it.
Massage was very thorough. After the flip, she asked if I wanted extras. Haggling was a bit of a pain--but then again I'm coming from NYC and the rates are very different. Well I think it finaly has happened. I think Pink has gone the way of other great AMP's in the past and gotten primadana.:rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: Me and a buddy went last night. We got there about 8:00. I was met at the door by "Yu Me", a girl who has given me pretty good service before. My buddy was led back by the woofer who's always there when I go in. Viited PINK yesterday. I am visiting from Chi-town and have not been able to find a place with a similar quality as what we have in the mid-West (ala apartment scene, Peking Spa.). PINK was a very pleasant surprise. I had been to the Emerald places and found them just fair. I visited PINK in the early afternoon. The woman that answered the door was actually a 9 in looks and body so a line up was not necessary. Her name was Sharon. I took one hour for. 6 with $. 4 for tip. (Kinda expensive compared to chi-town). She is half Japanese/Korean. She refused to provide her Japanese/Korean names out of respect for her parents she said.
The shower was perfunctory, but the masssage was good. Sharon gave a good deep tissue massage the likes of which I have not had in many moons. The only draw back to Sharon is that she talked too much. She admitted later that she likes to talk to her clients a bit so that she feels more comfortable and willing to perform later.
The performance was outstanding. After cg and dg I was done for. Overall a very pleasurable experience. I look forward to going to PINK again and trying Bellagio as well.
