That work traffic is completed separated from any other browsing you are doing. That's why it's called tunneling. You're company IT admin, doesn't' know or care or can't' see anything you do on your PRIVATE PC that is not VPN. Emphasize private PC. Now if you're using a company issued laptop, that's a whole different story.
I have a dual monitor and keep a private (no history) browser on one and my work Virtual PC on the other. Done and done.
I suppose some Companies have you install a VPN solution that completely controls all networking. That in effect becomes your companies pc while your running that software. So that would be again stupid to running an questionable browsing.

Any halfway tech-savvy IT department can track everything you type, including passwords. If they see you using a VPN that scrambles your browser history they can figure out how it is being scrambled and unlock the program your are using. It really is not worth the risk.

It's possible you have an addiction to falling in love and the rush it gives you. It's not uncommon. It is easy to do with escorts because they are paid to pretend to love you. And every so often you get one who really does fall in love with you.

Had an almost 2 years affair and the women (married) with rules set that we would never break our families. After 1 1/2 year she wanted us to get married. I had to drop her. Connect to the VPN, Open one browser / one window / single website and check to see what connections will show. You should se only the IP of the VPN. You can connect to your router as well and see all of the open sessions.

If that's your plan DON'T. Even if you log on with a VPN they can see all sites visited and I'm certain their software will flag that a user was on adult oriented sites. That's if their network allows you to access them at all.
I don't know how they would be able to tie a personal machine back to an individual employee which is of course how this could come full circle back to you & potentially put your career at risk, but it seems like a risk that isn't worth taking.
Maybe I'm paranoid and this is overkill but if I want to browse these kinds of sites while at work I use my personal phone, doing the following:
1) Turn off wi-fi (so I'm using my own data plan to access websites).
2) Close all Chrome tabs that are open.
3) Open Chrome in Incognito mode and use that browser with multiple tabs (you can do same with Safari, Explorer or any net browsing app).
4) Do NOT copy anything like a phone number so you can paste & do a google search, instead write it down on paper then type it into a new incognito Chrome tab. I'm not sure if my IT can access my phones clipboard so I assume it can;.
5) RE: above, if I want to use multiple tabs I can just hold down on a link and select "Open in new tab".
6) When I'm done, close all incognito tabs, then turn my wi-fi connection back on to the work network.
Again maybe I'm paranoid but I do not want my company knowing about my mongering hobby. There is no scenario where that ends well for me.
My work is so far behind the times we don't have laptops. With Corona Time they are scrambling and sent out a survey asking about laptops, internet connection, phones etc. No way will I use my personal computer, I'll buy a cheap laptop if we get to work from home.

Companies have to protect themselves from people stealing data, planting viruses and someone logging into a commercial vpn on their network would be a huge red flag. Best case they block your computer from the network, worst they're walking you out after speaking with HR and IT security.
