I am even more surprised that Seattle PD would use bicycle cops on Aurora Av. Aurora is very long road so it fairly impractical for them to patrol. The best thing to do is to scout locations where they can hide and do a lot of recon. This makes it easier to know where to look. Any idea how aggressive Seattle is with their "intent to solicit prostitution" law. ?

The bicycle cops aren't anything new. They are extremely stealthy & usually ride in groups of 2-6. They weave in & out of the side streets east & west Aurora. You'll likely see them more often in the stretch from.
85th up to 105th. That area has the most druggies, pimps & walkers. It's also in close proximity to the police precinct, so they probably just ride there directly from the station.
That area around 90th, where the Subway & convenient store is has become gnarly over the last year. People living in tents, tons of drug dealing, walkers just standing around not trying to be discreet, most really.
Strung out. I was driving down that side street just north of the Subway & saw a SW taking a crap right out in the open, next to a building. (I actually could see the crap dangling out.) I guess what I'm getting at is.
I'm really surprised that the cops haven't cracked down more. That area is getting really bad.

I am a bit surprised that there has not been more report about Seattle in recent years. Aurora used to be one of the most active tracks in years past. My guess is that LE has been receiving Homeland security grants to Crack down on human trafficking. Have not cruised Seattle in many years. Perhaps one day I will make it there again.

I cruised down Aurora Ave from 85 to 145 on 12/23 around 12 AM. Not a lot of SW out there. I saw only 4 of them. Most were getting picked up within minutes of me spotting them. Maybe rain had them in hiding mode.
Or maybe it was too early. There was one around the Krispy kreme on 125th that looked promising but I didn't partake. All 4 I saw were covered up so I couldn't see the goods, 3 BSW and 1 WSW.
