I'm posting here, because I'm not sure where this sort of post goes? Does anyone have any recommendations for cheap but clean motel, where a guy can relax for a few hours? Like 60 bucks or less? Maybe even one that takes cash? Looking in the pb / oldtown or mira mesa area. Any hints would be appreciated.

Loma has nice rooms and a reasonable hourly rate. From Old Town it's just 8 West to Nimitz and down Nimitz to the Bay and you are there.

Clean, but I would bring my own towels only because the towels they have are too small.
Great info! I never know there are motels / hotels in SD offering hourly rate.
Any other such hourly motels / hotels in SD (a bit north of Downtown)?

When I called both the Dolphin and the Ebony, both told me they do not do "day sleeper" rooms, or rooms by the hour. (FYI,"day sleeper" is industry lingo for driving all night and needing to catch a few Z's during the day. Rooms by the hour is what guys who bang hookers ask for.) I was not able to find any information on any hotel in SD metro that does this. (Ebony and Dolphin are the only ones rumored to.)
Ebony actually called me back a few days later and asked if I was still interested in booking a room for that night. Luckily I picked up the phone. I would advise blocking your number.
Big 7 Motel in Chula Vista is reasonably priced, requires no cash deposit, and doesn't require a credit card. Occasionally I will hook up with a non-pro who will want to keep the room after we finish, and as long as we use her I'd to rent the room and my cash to pay for it, I don't mind leaving them with the keys, as there is no further drama that can be done. Even if they destroy the place, I am off the hook. Was less than $60 the last time I did it.
I have a few storage spaces scattered across town. Got one of those $20 mattresses from Ikea. Clean, dark, quiet place to fuck for $50 / mo instead of $50 / day. It's a little, uhh, as the BSW's say,"ratchet", but it doesn't bother me, and at the end of the day, the girl never turns it down.

Guess they must have changed their policy. Another possibility: they book fully during tourist season so don't have day-rate rooms available?

The supply is good out there if you know where to look in the streets and online but they charge what guys are willing to pay. Guys I know you all want a good time for a fare price, but keep the prices low. Don't pay ridiculous prices just because your dick takes over your reasoning abilities – only bring a set amount with you (keep the atm and credit card at home) , that way you will not spend over, massage parlors' rub you into a frenzy then charge you a crazy price to release don't fall for it. Don't build up a 3 day load that takes over your mind and you will do anything to blow it. 60 80 100 120 max: for the time and deed done this is great compensation. You don't get that much on a full time job hourly. I've provided plenty of honest accurate feed back in these threads (like many of you) , just saying what I think.
