I was in town for my fantasy football draft and after I decided to go to the east side for some fun. I started at the "New" Dollies. $10.00 cover and the place was recently remodeled. It looked good. The beads are gone replaced by locking doors. A nice new bathroom with an automatic light. A new stage on the wall that has a pool table. They also have a booth for a DJ. Read the report a few days ago and thought I have to give it a try. Drove over at 3:30 pm on a weekday prepared to be let down. As I drove down Forest I just knew it wasn't going to be. I'll be visiting St. Louis for the first time next week and am looking to visit some of the clubs mentioned in the thread. As someone unfamiliar with the area, are any recommended as being in safer areas of town than others? Or some to avoid due to being in shadier parts of town? Thanks for the recommendations.

Diamond Cabaret and Country Rock are pretty much next to each other in Sauget and I've never felt unsafe there.

Hustler and Scarlett's near the highway in Washington Park are a safe bet too. The northern Washington Park clubs: Blondies, Dollies, Cheeks, Wise Guys, and C-Mowes are all a lot sketchier. I've never really had a problem, but drive straight there and straight out.

Be careful at intersections. DO NOT take "shortcuts" or try a different way. Most of the parking lots are OK even if the guys watching over them look like the people who would steal your car.
