I want to try and clear something up. I never asked to have my own thread. I was given this thread by a pass Administrator. At the time, I felt as if this thread was being forced on me. Before I was given this thread, I posted in the General Thread along with all the other members of the Philly Broad. Because of the crap I was receiving from a few haters, the Administrator Jackson moved all of my pictures and post from the General Thread, to a new thread above the heavy blue line. He chose the name and made the move, only an Administrator can do that.

I pointed out to the Administrator Jackson, that supporting my own thread maybe something I did not want to do. It's a job. It's a job that I am not getting paid to do. Continually posting pictures and comments, providing substance and material, in order to keep people interested and visiting the, "CookyJar Photo Thread," was at times a chore. But I did it. For over ten years, I've done it.

Go back! Start at the beginning. Go back to the start and read. You will find 10 years of posts, picture portfolios, debates and arguments, discussions on and off topic and contest and extravaganzas. These were all things that I did or made up and promoted in order to keep this thread relevant.

My name may be on the threat, but it is not my thread. The thread is for anyone who wants to join-in. The Admin is the monitor and I am the host. The Admin allows me to do pretty much what I want, within reason.

So! When I have, as I do now, two members willing to post pictures, compare them and possibility start up a debate or contest, I am all for it. It takes some of the weight off of me.

Fuck it! In fact, anyone can join in. The girl has to be a professional, available to any monger willing to reach out. The pictures have to be original, taken by the poster and not taken off of the internet or another website. And! There should be some information, like a name and general location and availability.

It is that variety of the two areas of talent that keeps the thread quite interesting. I would personally like to thank both of you for your vast contribution and tank of knowledge. I enjoy Glocks work as much as Cooky's. I have tried to take photos of those same poses you guys photograph. Unfortunately I don't look good in the shrimp pose. Maybe CL would. From last Wednesday. The original Mimi in the shrimp pose along with a more classic Glock Shot. We now have two escorts in Memphis who call themselves Mimi. I know them both well. They are equally favorites. They are the "hanging from the ceiling shot" and what I call the "tastefully explicit" shot. Here is a young Mimi doing the hanging from the ceiling shot and Cherry Pie Sara doing the tastefully explicit shot. My favorite category is girl on girl. Which is somewhat surprising because in my much younger days when I watched porn, I always fast forwarded the girl on girl segment. I got interested in it several years ago and it is now my favorite. When I first read your reply to my question, my first thought was, Wow! He is right, how does one pick a favorite.

After thinking a little more, I realized. I do have a favorite. In fact I have more than one favorite. Every time I take a set pictures, there is always one I liked best a favorite. I have seasonal favorites, outside favorites, sitting favorites, inside favorites, black girl favorites, white girl favorites and so on, and so on. Up until a few fear ago, starting in 2007, there was the, [post=601940][b] "CookyJar's Best"[/B][/post], where the forum was challenged to vote in a favorite. Click on the above link and follow the post back to see CookyJars 2007 Best. I am not sure what year I decide to end the contest.

But! My point is that I do have a single picture which I like above the rest.

The, "hanging from the ceiling shot," there is no way I can compete or copy that. I am struggling trying to figure out how you can do it. Are you hanging from the ceiling, by a swing? The, "tastefully explicit shot," is a true staple. I believe there is a, "tastefully explicit shot," in every portfolio that I have done. I guess you could say, based on how many times I have done it, that it is a favorite. But! When I think of what is my favorite pose, I think of that pose that I personally like. My favorite pose is the pose that I do for myself, simply because I like it.

When I asked about, Favorite Category, I was thinking more along the lines of poses. And not porn categories. I was thinking about, Head shots, full length shots, booty shots, pussy shots, candid shots, glamour shots and etc. However; the, "Girl on girl" and "doubles session," are both favorites of mine. These sessions result is very interesting photos, but, just as important, they usually end up in threesomes.

Give me a minute or two and after some reminiscing I will post a few of my favorites, followed by my ATF picture.

To me there is a difference between Favorite (singular) and Favorites (plural). Favorites can be any number greater than one with no real limit. On the other hand, favorite is just one. Sort of the favorite among favorites. I have scoured the Glockman Archives and came up with ten favorites. Ten is not an arbitrary number but is the largest number of pics that you can upload on the USASG forum. Since we are talking favorites, I assume that they do not have to be currently available. With that in mind, all ten ladies either were or are currently available as escorts in the Memphis area. Sadly, two are deceased. As you can see, there is no connective theme between the ten. All are very different. They made my favorites list because there is something about each photo that I really like. There are certainly more favorites though. Others may and probably will disagree with the pick of my favorites. However, I have no favorite. I couldn't pick one above the others if I had to. What are your thoughts?

Fave-7-Sarah, My personal favorite. A very pretty girl made prettier. A lovely pose that shows off her matching carpet.

Fave-8-Michelle, Another personal favorite. The pose, the position, the arm placement all perfect.

Fave-9-Chirssy & Bea, WOW! Super WOW! Great Composition. Even guys who dont appreciate Girl on Girl will like this one.[/INDENT]

Without coming out directly and asking, I was attempting to ask, "What is it that you, as the artist, appreciate about your art work. " Very often outsiders / art critiques try to interpret what the artist was trying to convey. If Van Gogh was alive, I'd be asking whether he liked the Starry Night as much as I do, and why?

Glock's a more refined, but that's likely a function of the subjects rather than any reflection of the relative photographic skills you each possess. As for the girls' photos themselves, here are some of my brief thoughts:

[b]Alexis 001[/b] - This girl is clearly the youngest of the lot. It's also the only one taken in your car. There is a trepidation in her expression, which your photo captures perfectly. Whether it was intentional or just serendipitous, the shadow that falls across her eyes accentuates her appearance of uncertainty. (Also, If I'm not mistake, you did not take her back to your place and engage in activities with her after you took this photo, correct? In fact, you gave her a small bit of funds and dropped her back near where you had picked her up, due to uncertainty about age. Also, you deleted her photo from your post about a day later.)

[b]Betty 006[/b] - The very close zoom, coupled with her hair covering one of her eyes while the other looks directly into the camera, is highly suggestive that sensual activities are imminent. This photographic technique, and its variants, was a favorite of Peter Gowland, the renowned glamour photographer. Although he (like Glock) was meticulous about his models' makeup, this photo reflects his technique quite nicely.

[b]Britney 005[/b] - There is an impishness in this girl's expression, and I suspect it reflects this girl's general attitude. The lack of any (apparent) makeup, along with the simplicity of her hair in a bun and the almost milky white bare shoulders, keeps the emphasis on the girl and her slight smirk. That is just as it ought to be. Any makeup (including lipstick), well-coiffed hair, or clothing would diminish this photo and distract the attention from where it should be: on the model. [u]This is my favorite of the ten photos you've posted here.[/u]

[b]Elen 80[/b] - Similar to Britney's photo, you've captured a playfulness in your model. The tongue, which is upturned rather than straight out, suggests a playfulness that will eventually turn into seduction. And, like the photo of Britney, the bare shoulders and back (and not exposing the breasts) keeps the main focus on the model's face but allows the viewer to use some imagination. And, like Betty's photo, the hair covering one eye lends a slight air of mystery about the girl. [u]This is my second favorite of your ten photos.[/u]

[b]Janice 002[/b] - Unlike any of the other photos, the model's eyes are closed but not tightly closed. This emphasizes the reddish eye shadow (which, itself, suggests sensuality) and, along with the fact that she appears to be gently biting her lower lip, tells the viewer that she is enjoying something. The curls of her hair, as opposed to the simplicity of Elen's and Britney's hair, provides a good frame to the model's face and gives texture to the photograph. [u]This photo ties for my third favorite.[/u]

[b]Kara & Jewel 001[/b] - There is something languid and relaxed, and at the same time inviting, about this photo. Or, rather, about these girls. While there's no sexual tension [I]per se[/I] immediately evident, your photo creates a temptation. A viewer could imagine himself spending a lazy summer afternoon in bed with these two girls, and could (if he thought a bit more) imagine that this would still be their expression as he looked up at them in his exhaustion. One can almost hear these two saying, "[I]Can't you go just [u]one[/u] more round with us[/I]?"

[b]Kia 004[/b] - Aside from your photo of the (very) nubile Alexis, this is the only one that displays the models breasts, even though it's only in profile. But, in my opinion, it's enough to distract from the model's expression, which exudes sensual heat. Her eyes staring directly into the lens, and the mouth just slightly agape, lend tension to the photo. Her hair frames her face perfectly but, in my opinion, the thin strand of hair that runs down her forehead is a distraction and should have been brushed to one side or the other. Perhaps you can dodge it out digitally. In addition, I would have cropped this photo [u]just[/u] above the level of her nipple, leaving only the slight cleavage to suggest more in the viewer's mind. Although the model is very attractive, this is my second least favorite of the ten photos.

[b]Nikki 004[/b] - Unlike any of the other photos, this is the only one that shows (ever so slightly) any clothing, namely the bra strap on her left shoulder. But here, whether intentional or accidental, it adds to the photo's qualities. One cannot help seeing the model's eyes without also seeing the bra strap, and vice versa, and both - along with the almost unnoticed jewel stud on the left side of her nose - cause the viewer's eyes to move around the photo rather than remain static and fixated in one particular spot. There seems to be a slight melancholy in the model's expression, and her eyes, though looking into the lens, seem to be focused on something more distant. I'm not sure if a [u]slight[/u] application of blush to her left cheek, and possibly a very light application of light pink lipstick, would have improved this already appealing photo. All told, this is a very pleasing portrait and is tied (with the photo of Janice) as my third favorite.

[b]Shaina 014[/b] - I want to like this photo; the model is certainly not the reason I don't entirely like it. It has very nice qualities, including the model's expression, makeup, and jewelry. But maybe that's it: the photo is too close-in and doesn't show enough of the model. One of her ears is cropped, and the viewer is also deprived of seeing all of her hair and shoulders. Maybe you were attempting to capture a different mood with this photo, but I'm not seeing it. For these reasons, this is my least favorite photo. And, again, that's not due to the model.

[b]Tiffany 0017[/b] - The framing is just about perfect on this photo, despite the fact that the topmost part of the model's hair is cropped. That fact doesn't detract from this model's primary asset (in this photo), which is the wonderful mass of flaming red hair surrounding what appears to be an almost porcelain face. Her gold necklace is almost invisible, but wouldn't likely take the focus away from her face. Only two things detract from the photo: (1) The tattoo - I'm not averse to them, but in the photo this one keeps vying for attention. If possible, it might serve to remove it via Photoshop or other digital processing means. (2) The lipstick - The color contrasts too harshly with her hair and keeps pulling the viewer's attention away from the model's eyes, which should be the [u]only[/u] thing in this photo to hold the viewer's attention. Everything else in this photo should support that.

Well, there you have it, CJ: a few of my thoughts, for whatever they're worth. Your workmanship shows in all of these photos, but it shows much better in some more than others. Even in the ones that don't rank as high for me, the workmanship is still good. Like you, I'm a fan (of your work and Glock's), but the photographer in me is also a critic. Hopefully, a constructive one, though. And, if I had to select one of these girls to spend a night or even a pleasant afternoon with, I'd have to select Britney. Maybe it's the impish expression, or perhaps something else. IDK. Regardless, you did a good job capturing these women photographically. I wish I had the same talent to do so.

CookyJar.[/QUOTE]IMO, cropping doesn't [U]necessarily[/U] disqualify a photo. But, with cropping, one doesn't want something [B]in[/B] the frame to lead the viewer's eyes [B]out[/B] of the frame. Long legs, when cropped, generally tend to do that. Cropping of the models demonstrating your "shrimp pose" seems to do that. A couple suggestion: (1) Crop at the knee rather than at the ankle. (2) Get a tight zoom, cropping at the knee or just before (on the thigh side), and take the photo from a slight angle so that the model's face and breasts are captured with the thighs and jewels. (3) Alternately, modify the "shrimp pose" such that the model bends her legs at the knees and brings her ankles down to a point where they are almost touching her thighs. Then, with a tight zoom, take the photo from about a 15-degree angle off of straight-onward so that you capture the face and perhaps (but not necessarily) the breasts. Another benefit of flexing the legs is that is avoids the generally negative effect of foreshortening of the legs.

This is something you're going to have to play around with. The good thing is, you have flexible subjects. Try having the models keep their hands locked under the knees, in order to support their legs and also to keep their knees together. Also, perhaps, have them twist at the waist so that their torso is facing the camera and the thighs are slightly facing away.

I have always thought that this photos was the ultimate of what I used to call "the pose" and what now goes as "the shrimp pose. " I did not take this photo but wish that I did. I know the subject lady very well. She is also a very good photographer and took this one herself with her camera on a tripod and on self timer.

What I appreciate most about my work is that the lady is totally in control. It may take a while to explain without sounding conceited, but here is what I mean by that. The lady knows she is attractive. She know she is sexy. She knows what makes her sexy. She doesn't mind showing it off for the world to see. She is not going to hide anything from my camera. She is comfortable with what she is doing. And she is totally in charge. I see lots of pictures in the gallery where the lady is extremely uncomfortable and looks like she would rather be anywhere else and doing anything else. I would never take that picture, much less post it. When I take a picture, I want the lady to be either looking straight into the camera or else to be totally oblivious to it. If she is looking into the camera, I want her to be saying to herself "Glock, not only will I show what you want for the camera, I'll show you even more!" If she is oblivious to the camera, I want her to be saying to herself "I'm in ecstasy at the moment enjoying myself but you can take my picture!" I think that I manage to convey that with the ladies because I am totally nonthreatening. Women get very much at ease around me. I'm very relaxed and calm. I speak softly and joke with them a little. I don't try to talk any macho bullshit bravado. Macho bullshit bravado is not in my personality, besides the ladies hate it. I treat them with great respect. I never ask them to do anything that they aren't willing to do. It doesn't hurt to be a pretty good photographer either. I can make a plain woman look good, a good woman look great, a great woman look gorgeous, and a gorgeous woman look. . . , well gorgeous. The ladies all know that. Here is the gorgeous Cherry Pie Sara showing everyone that she is totally in control. Cherry Pie is an escort in Memphis who is available to the chosen few.
