Where I come from it isn't so straightforward. You have put in some time with the dancer, go to the VIP room and build a little trust. Then you can arrange take out. The most you're likely to get in the VIP room is some handwork and even that is hard to find. There are some more lax clubs, but nothing with anything resembling passable quality.
My main point being, you guys are lucky. You have a precious resource here.

Hannah was the best back then, a young beauty! We talked for a while, she was very friendly. She said she had worked there only two weeks, and that was her only dancing experience. That caused me to rule out any chance of extra activity. I figured I'd wait until she had more seasoning (I may have posted about her back then, but I can't find it). It sounds like she's got the seasoning, so I will stop by and see her. If you take a shot at her, it would be nice to get a report.

It's just that these girls live for the snowbirds and golfers to come in, and then complain when they go away and we locals are left. Spring break will be over in a week or two.
We were all those wide eyed golf shirt guys at one point, it was just funny to see. This is a locker room, a thick skin helps in here.
The post really was about how weak the clubs have been at a time of year when they usually are packed with girls. The girls are complaining about how slow the traffic has been, the guys are complaining about how few dancers there are. It's a vicious cycle.
Passing Brass Flamingo this afternoon, I noticed a sign on the marquee saying "Open Wed noon". I later stopped to check it out, and the place looks pretty much the same as before the fire. The stage looks new, but in the same place as before, and many chairs are new (some still look old). I was greeted by a couple girls that had danced there; the barmaid and manager, and even the dj, are the same. I even spotted some of the old customers. Didn't have enough time (or money) to really enjoy my time there, so I didn't stay long, but this is good news for me. Allure has been very inconsistent (which they all can be, I know), and Vue and Icon are long drives for me.
I was in the area so I stopped by Brass mid afternoon to see what was new. Other than turning the stage it looks pretty much the same. Only about 6 dancers when I was there, but 10-12 guys. I recognized a couple of girls but there were some new faces.
Stage lights blew out, so it was dim to say the least. Had a beer and chatted with a girl for a few, but had to leave. After some growing pains I hope things get back to normal. Usually had some fun times there, but none of my old favorites were there today.
Stopped in to this one for the first time Friday night. 0 nudity for 4 dancers in a row so I bugged out. Not sure what was up with that, but no thanks.
Was in lollipops yesterday and saw a spinner but didn't have time to take her for a spin. Brook I think was her name. Any info on mileage? Days / nights works? Never saw her there before.

I've been working my way up the coast on weekends and can see what you are talking about. I started a couple of weeks ago down in Clearwater and have now been working my way up Rt 19 (without the Golf Shirt. It was St Paddy's day and it's the only Green thing I own).
So far, I've hit the following, but not all on the same weekend:
Oz. Sunday Night 10:00 pm, Nice, very expensive. Saw about 5-7 girls. Got a two girl special in the VIP.
Diamond Dolls. Saturday Night 9:30 ish, not many girls (only saw 2 or 3) and they didn't circulate. Finally got a 15 minute VIP with a "New" girl who said it was her first night and didn't know how the place operates. I expected more based on reputation.
Bare Assets. Saturday Afternoon 3:00 pm, okay, with about 4-5 dancers, but none that really interested me. Got a good massage and spent some time in a very tiny room with a nice Asian lady.
Knockers. Saturday Afternoon, 3:30 pm, Dead, only a bartender (who was very nice) and no dancers. Had a beer and left to try Allure.
Allure. Saturday Afternoon, 4:00 pm ish, Met Jojo and had a great time, Didn't see very many other dancers.
But everywhere I've been on the West Coast, it has been slower with less selection than I would have expected.
By way of contrast, this past weekend, I was in Cocoa Beach with a buddy and we hit the clubs there. Completely different type of clubs. Dances were often $10 during the day and the clubs where packed with dozens of girls who mostly seemed to be in the area on spring break, hungry for money, and there to party. The dances were topless, full contact, some roaming allowed, but the downside was there are no private VIP rooms. However, many of the girls were quite free with their contact info. I did not partake of the contact info (many were a bit too young for my taste), but did enjoy a few dances. There is something to be said for plentiful girls and youthful exuberance.
This weekend I plan on trying Brass Flamingo and if that doesn't work out going further north to Vue or Lollipop's. After that, I'll need to give my wallet a break for a few weeks and let it recover.

Timing in the clubs is like trying to time the market, there's a good chance you'll miss the up day. I use a dancer cost averaging approach.
When I'm in the area with a free hour I'll stop in, buy a favorite or two a drink, or try to meet someone who catches my eye. Often a favorite will make an introduction of someone they think I'll like, knowing it will yield them benefits down the road.
I prefer to get to know them a little, and some I know pretty well. I don't go looking for a VIP every time, the smart ones understand it and will invest some time for another day with a regular guy. We'll be here after the boys of winter are gone. My apologies to Don Henley.
A lot of the dancers, especially dayside are single moms, so when the kids are on spring break, so are they, or child care flakes out, so do they.
Some clubs like Oz require dancers to be in by 1:30 for day shift and stay until 6 or 7. Technically the girls are contract employees, so they come and go as they please and some clubs are fine with that. So they'll show up, if they get a couple of quick VIPs they'll take off. If it's slow they may do a double shift.
Weekends are generally slower than week days. But sometimes Sunday is very busy.
Wednesday used to be the slow day of the week, now Monday seems to be the slow day, with Tuesday and Wednesday close behind. Generally Thursday and Friday are the busiest days. But busy days are the hardest to get attention, dancers will literally triage the room trying to figure out how to get the quickest return on their invested time. The girls tend to come in when they think guys will be there, so it's a constant guessing game.
Some girls are strictly cash driven, so they'll show up when they need a $ infusion. End of the month, first of the month, when bills are coming due the places may be packed. Some look at it like a job at the mall, and will be there every day 1-7 come hell or high water.
Mid shift tends to be good in some clubs because a lot of guys come in around rush hour, but that changes by club and day of the week. The dinner hour is usually slowest, especially in clubs where there is no mid- shift. I tend to avoid nights. Different crowd of guys and girls, and I just don't like the dynamic as much.
Clubbing can be a very rewarding experience here, but it's a long game. And golf shirts are acceptable attire!!

During the blackout I've been wiling away some wasted hours visiting some of our finer South Pasco clubs. Saw some old friends and some new faces this week.
Mostly new at Brass Flamingo after the fire and the raid, although a few familiar faces are showing up again. Still good traction and fun to be had, so some of the new faces may become familiar!
Same for Bare Assets, where I pretty much only recognized bar staff from a couple of months ago. But new faces have come from some other clubs, and some from other venues I suppose, but again, good times to be had. I hadn't been frequenting BA as much over the winter because of the snowbirds and the high dance prices. Possibly why I didn't recognize that many of the dancers. After meeting a few newbies I may put BA back in the rotation, actually a couple I'd like to get a better feel for, and some OTC promised.
Quite a few friendly faces still at Allure, including a couple who had been away for a while. Cylee is in some again, JoaniB, Sweets, Alice, Morgan and a few others. There are some promising new faces as well. Always find good friends and good times there.
