I have a Global Entry card and there has not been a line any time I enter the USA anywhere. It took me eight months and a background check that resembles a proctology exam, but the added benefit is you get to use the PreCheck line at airports, too.

Don't venture too far out of the main track. Its easier to just take the cab as soon as you cross and tell the driver adelitas or hongkong. Get a feel for what it's like and where things are located before you walk. You will see a big arch near Zona Norte, use it as a reference. Streets in Zona Norte are on a N-S-E-W grid system, but they go every which-way near the border crossing. Walking routes between the border and Zona Norte are different than driving. Many locations are dangerous, especially at night.

I've stayed in Tijuana motels also but availability is hit and miss and you never know what faux paramilitary bureaucratic raid will happen (usually before an election). I like to get back over to this side after playing down there. Hope this was useful.

There are 11 airlines that do precheck. Spirit is not on the list. They also have seats that don't recline and charge for snacks and drinks, their people are rude and the lines are long. But they are cheap.

However, the default BJ service for most chicas in Adelita is covered. Charm, extra money and / or momentary financial desperation can result in an adjustment to BBBJ. I always went solo. Could go and return when I wanted. Hit the bars I wanted to hit, walk out when I wanted, etc. , etc. , etc. My Spanish was (and still is) minimal. I, personally, welcomed a wing man because in the few days before my first visit one of the members of our esteemed literary club was mugged and there was a random shooting. Having someone that knew the ropes was a fine security blanket.

It is probably best to avoid this weekend unless you have a Sentri card or unless you are prepared to wait hours in line. The US customs employees purposely slow down so that they can get more overtime.

If you use an Atm card at HSBC in Tijuana you get even more. Took out $500 in pesos today at HSBC and got 15.136 pesos per dollar and walked a half block to an exchange place and sold back pesos at 14.82 pesos per dollar. About $10. Or 2 percent profit in five minutes. I do this almost every day since I live in Rosarito.

First time! Man, it was amazing. I was there from about 8:30 pm until 11:45 and ended up with 2 different girls from Adelita and one street girl. Hong Kong was just way too packed to even talk to a girl. I was quoted 46 (I assume with $6 to the room) by one street girl and she wouldn't budge from there.
