I was driving up N. Dale Mabry (just north of Linebaugh) today and noticed a HUGE banner announcing "Oriental Massage Coming Soon" on the left hand side. I'm not so sure such a high-profile way of announcing their arrival to the such an upscale neighborhood was the best way for them to go but it will be interesting to see how an MP will fare in an area that has long been lacking in any business of that nature. Will keep you posted.
Years back was VIP spa in same area. Stayed a couple years. Never was overly busy. Never partook due to it's precarious location.

I think you are correct. Locating an AMP in an upscale section of town, rather than an industrial park, just tends to get more complaints and keeps LEO watching very closely. I think we can forget about it becoming the next Osaka based on location alone.

Went there last weekend and had just an amazing experience. The provider was not really clear with her name so I just let it go. She gave an amazing table shower cleaning every nook and cranny with great care. The massage was actually really good; back walk was a little rough, but felt great when she was done. On the flip she did this thing with her hands that nearly made a handshake unneccesary. I wish I could describe it, but the words honestly escape me. No tip negotiation, just went right to it like it was SOP. When I get back to Tampa I plan on making another visit because that was AWESOME. I wish they had places like that here in Orlando.

Gene wasn't the best looker, but man she had great hands. I like it hard, and she really did it to me.

Massage was OK, nothing like Gene or Tina, and I did not leave happy. O well. Now I know.
Last week, I TOFTT and wasted 80. and I'd lay long odds that YMWNV (your mileage will not vary).
Well appointed place, lots of staff (?), owners (?) including several young oriental guys. English was pretty good all the way around. Nothing but a slick CJ (con job) . No redeeming value at all.
Luckily, Tina at Oxygen was available, so the day was not wasted. Cheers!!

Regarding the new help. One is a new temp lady. She looks to be 50. The other has been there for a while. I think her name is Lucy. Had her once because both Gene and Tina had their hands full.. Highly UNrecommended. Felt very rushed.
My recommendation for Oxygen is if Tina is not available. Keep on going.

Went to Oxygen on Kennedy for the first and last time this afternoon. Maybe AMPs just aren't my thing. 8 door. TS and back rub with Ruby/Lucy. Tina swapped out with her half way through. Expectation was. 4 more for tug. I used to be good at math. A total of 1. 2 for a tug job? For. 1 to. 3 more (sometimes less when the specials are running), I can get FS off a CL provider with a body type more to my liking. Though I'm new to all this, it just doesn't add up for me; but the rest of you guys have fun, if this is your thing.

Choc lover. It's not just about money. Try convenience, walk in service, no phone calls or appointments needed, and anonymity (sp? ).
Craigslists girls come with ripoffs, a provider get your cell # and possibly your email. Making appointments which get blown off regularly, directions to this weeks incall location, boyfriends in next room (or worse cats or 100lb mastiffs). Questions about when were the last time sheets were changed, stings etc.
I much rather spend a little more, go on a moments notice or urge, have a fair understanding of what I am getting and be completely anonymous. Thats worth an extra $20 or two to me.

I didn't get the idea there were extras but the TS was very good with lot's of washing the good parts. The massage was decent with some very nice light back area/ball playing Asian style. The flip was as expected with some groping and licking by me. All in all a decent no extra's time.
That's moment's notice / urge comment is completely on the money.
A lot of us have to take those opportunities to pursue the hobby as they come along, and we just can't be dialing in some sweetie who needs a day's notice, or can change her mind at the last minute and not make the date.
And as far as money goes, a lot of us older guys get to a certain point in life where you have to think "What hell am I working for, if it isn't to enjoy my life the way I like to enjoy it, when I can? " And I enjoy dreaming some damned fine dreams, so I don't mind paying up as long as I have it.
The anonymity aspect is also crucial; unlike the guy who slides out and tells a little white lie so he can play golf and gets busted with a laugh and some extra honey-do's, getting busted pursuing THIS hobby can blow your life up.
So until the US gets civilized and lets women use their bodies to earn the best living they can (just like us guys can do digging ditches) I think the points made by Amperage are damned on target!

Even providers that are more establishied dont do half hours much. I think its more about the money than anything and all the time involved to see you its not worth it them.

Half hours were popular when the spas offered a full menu. The girls would more than make up for the lesser half hour fee with her gratuity.
Now that the spas are reduced to partial menus, elimination of the 1/2 hour means you're paying that extra 20 up front. And since the gratuity for the partial menu is considerably less, they have already recouped some of that loss.

Tried Oxygen for the 1st time and asked for Tina. She is a very attractive young K girl. Maybe a little heavier than a AMP "spinner" but just slightly if at all. Not a big talker but this was my first session with her. A bit cautious with me, perhaps she warms up after repeat visits.
Opted for the full hour (1/2 is available here for those who are looking for a shorter session). Took the table shower which was very thorough and she made sure my entire body was clean, including those hard to reach places.
Returned to the room and had the massage which as others have noted here is very very good. For those looking for a good massage, Tina delivers. Extras were not on the menu other than the HE, but what a HE it was!
The lotion and the motion, soon produced the sea spray of the ocean. Overall an attractive, polite and classy provider. Great massage. Will appeal to the hobbyist who likes a good massage without much talking. Absolutely no upsell. Tipped .40 and left Oxygen very satisfied. Would recommend Tina for those who enjoy a great massage!

Ocean Spa is friendly AMP, there is $60 for the hour coupon in Creative Loafing. I visited there once a few months back, full menu with upscale pricing.

Had to pop over to my favorite massage parlor for an adjustment, and as usual lately Tina is busy. The woman at the door looked interesting and I though what the hell. Her name is Maya or Mia, very short but great front on her. I would say 35-40ish. She has to be new to this scene. The massage was A+.
A great massage is what I go there for. The HE is just the fun part.
It seamed she was still figuring out the ropes for the hand shake and I cant give her more than a 7. She needs to learn a few more moves. lol

Declined table shower and was led to my room by an oriental receptionist lady. A few moments later a moderately attracive Chinese lady (approx. 35 years old) named Cindy came in the room; she was dressed very conservatively in some sort of "karate-looking jumpsuit. " The only parts of her body that were exposed was her face, feet and hands.
Went stomach down for the part of the massage. Very thorough massage; obviously this lady is well-trained. Flipped over for the end stage of the massage. HE was refused. Being that I was quite excited by this time, I asked Cindy if I could take care of myself. She didn't object, and kept on massaging my thighs. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.
I was a little disconcerted by the experience, mainly because Cindy kept rubbing her body up against me throughout the massage. However, Cindy was very nice, and I think that more things will be on the menu in the future, once Cindy is more comfortable with me. Anyways, I still gave her a $10 tip.

From my experiences if you dont go along with the TS theres a good chance the HE isnt going to happen. The TS is good way to get to know one another real quick like. If its all squared up in the TS the rest of the experience will go real smooth.
Next time take the TS and explore the one another and see what happens for your HE on the next go around. You will most likely be more pleased in the future visits.

Though the 69 dollar special is a bit of a tease, I wouldn't hold my breath on extras just based on the uniform and the area where the shop is located. My 2 cents. I do agree with RC that not taking the table shower was a bad move. That said, I would expect more chance of a HE if the shop is located deep in an industrial park rather than in Carrollwood. Stay safe.

I just paid a visit to the new place on Dale Mabry. I had a very nice massage by a younger (than me) girl who was very cute, but not classically beautiful. She was dressed in something close to surgical scrubs, with a bad haircut but a very warm smile. She said she was from somewhere in China but her English was limited and I didn't figure out where.
I took the TS first, but even there, on the flip, my little guy was covered up with a wash cloth. The water and rub down on the table was very refreshing, if not erotic, but the table itself was one of the most uncomfortable things I'd ever been on. Maybe I was doing it wrong, but the place for your head was not well placed or something. It was okay once I got on my back.
Back in the room everything stayed covered and there was not even the hint of extras. For those of you interested in massage, the actual massage was a mix of nice medium work and then oil. She had very soft hands and also did my head which I love. Not really anything on the hands or feet, but that might be something in the longer massage.
They are offering $5 discount per 30 minutes, with sessions offered from 30-120 minutes in 30 minute increments. My impression is that most of the folks there are Chinese, and that they expect to be able to make a go with legitimate massage, although their pricing doesn't match up with some of the new therapeutic massage chains, which are closer to $40-50 per hour.
I'd go again for the massage, if I could get the same girl, but wouldn't expect anything beyond what I got this time. I suppose mileage could vary with other attendants, but I didn't notice anyone else that was my cup of tea.
I suspect if you weren't offered any extras on the 1st visit, I doubt this place does extras. If they really wanted you to come back again, she would have offered something for you. If it is the same as any other AMP, it wouldn't make any sense for her to not offer you something extra. It sounds like a legit massage place. My advice is to move on somewhere else.

That's two strikes against you right there.
When you decline the shower, she isn't eager to get too close.
The girl wants to KNOW that you are clean in all the right places. Having just taken a shower means nothing to her if she didn't do the scrub.
When you give her a $10 tip you mark yourself as a cheapskate. These girls DO remember. It's unlikely that you will be welcomed back with much enthusiasm. Sure, if they aren't busy, she'll let you in, but don't expect much service.
No personal attack intended toward you here, but having dated some of these girls on the outside I know how and what they think.
Average service in a rub & tug gets an AVERAGE $60 tip.
Anything less is not worth their time. They could be taking care of a more appreciative customer. When you bump it up to $100 or more they start taking you more seriously.
Business is slow right now, but they still don't want work for nothing.

It's not really useful to generalize as far as rates but I'd say $40 is perfectly alright in many of the strictly rub and tug places. Heck, $40 used to be the going rate for FS at Osaka for the half hour and $60 for the hour. I never followed those guidelines because to me that didn't jibe with the excellent service they provided.
The problem with making a blanket statement that 'all' places expect $60 is that all places are not equal. FS at one place (think Ulmerton) might run $100 to $120 while at another $200+ (US19 in PH). It can even vary with different girls at the same establishment.
In my personal experience there have been plenty of places where $40 was a very well received tip for a handshake.
I do very much agree that opting out of the TS is never a good idea. Cleanliness, or the perception by the provider there of, is more likely to lead to happiness at the end.
I've been all over the map on this, and have frankly never been sure what was right. Anywhere from .3-.6, and have had some providers who expected a full $. Ironically it's the ones that are the least desirable and provide the worst service seem to be the ones who think that a handshake is worth a full bill.
