I understand what you are saying, but my circumstances are different. I was actually staying in San Diego and live on the east coast. I posted in the TJ reports on that forum, but I also posted here because I saw quite a lot of interaction. I found HK to be a sleazy, low-class joint with only so-so looking girls, and I prefer the strip clubs in COI, which are usually much less crowded, a bit more upscale, and with more 9's and 10's. The girls also couldn't speak English for shit. After a while, I decided to try Azul's, and ordered the flank steak, which came with some veggies and mashed potatoes. I was cautious and ordered a bottled water, not trusting the tap water in Mexico. Alas, despite my caution, I contracted an awful stomach bug which put me out of commission for several days. I can say that was the worst gastrointestinal experience of my life. My stomach ached horribly, I had constant diarrhea, and I was unable to keep down food for two days. I strongly advise against eating the food at Azuls, despite what others have written. Would I go back? Nope, nothing for me over there. I appreciate all the comments and info others have left in this forum; I hope my post will offer a different perspective from the mostly positive stuff I read here. I couldn't disagree with your assessment more. The caliber of women at HK is way higher than any American strip club. Not only in looks, but also, generally, in attitude. And, besides, they're giving you sex--not just sitting on your lap demanding money.

TJ is a place that caters to men. The US is geared towards ripping men off and taking advantage of their natural desires. Most US strippers are soulless man-haters who have been reduced to petty hustlers. I find them among the lowest forms of life on the planet. The TJ girls are warmer, more friendly, more feminine, more giving, and sometimes downright enthusiastic (there are some bad eggs, of course, but you can usually steer clear of those).

They don't speak English? You're not in Kansas any more, Toto. It's Mexico.

COI upscale? Those places are mostly ghetto barns. I suppose you like paying $20 to get in and another $10 or something for a watered down sprite. Watch out for the goons at the door who will throw you out for looking the wrong way, and the girls that will take your money and then slap you in the face. What fun!

As for the food, it's safer than in the old days, but if it's your first time, I'd probably skip Azul, and stick to a place that's more known to the general public.
