Firstly, escort service for foreigners, at least in Tokyo, is more like 30,000 yen. You're not going to find much for 20,000 (maybe a happy ending massage). In Tokyo you pay for youth and beauty. The higher end girls I just bring them back to my hotel or have them come to my room, but definitely safe. Even the more ghetto places in Pattaya, there really isn't any sense of danger. I wouldn't mess with the $20 girls, personally, not because of fear of them robbing me, but more because they aren't my taste. I find Bangkok and Pattaya to be very safe places to be, even when stumbling around drunk. Manila and the rest of the Philippines can be really hit or miss, as far as safety goes. The ones farther down have massage upstairs or in a private room. Those you can get whatever service you want. The road goes all the way down to the old town and river.
