Looks like we have another round of discussion on this topic going. Without rehashing all my past diatribes, I think that the situation in our country is sad and leads to some awful consequences including trafficking, disease transmission, and violent crime. Sex is in many ways like any other service, and if properly controlled its sale could be done in such way that much less damage is committed on our society than what happens now. Sadly I doubt it will happen in my lifetime. So I continue to search for nice ladies with pleasant personalities who care about the quality of the experience they are providing. I believe freakonomics has a few points that explain why rates are so expensive in the US. We are seen are unmarriageable so we make up for that value that would otherwise be found in a marriage by charging more (at least that's the theory). This was kind of my point. To drive rates down it not only had to be legal but the attitudes surrounding it need to change. Otherwise it can be perfectly legal but women won't want to do it because it lowers their value in the marriage market and there isn't an economical justification to choose this over any other job here in the US.

I know that lowering my rates would force me to up my volume which would in turn lower the quality of my service.
