I have been on and off sa since 2011. Is it just me, or have your normal working women types seeking some extra cash disappeared or are on much less frequently. In the past I came across teachers, a flight attendant, financial planner, sommelier, nurse, and a few other professions. The numbers of users still seem fairly high but the scam percentage is much higher, with the the legit users being much more gps or streetwalker types. Diamonds in the rough can still perhaps be found but it just seems like much more work. Any other users experiencing this? I'm thinking the stark warnings against overt escort, ppm, scared off a lot of the normal gals. Kind of a bummer.

From what I understand, Seeking was wildly fun from its inception through 2017. Lots of college co-eds, broke moms, strippers, nurses, junior partners, government employees, secretaries, etc decided to test the waters of "sugar dating. " Around 2018, OF began to really surge in popularity, which essentially ended Seeking's heyday. Then COVID came along and fucked with everyone's wallet (except Pfizer's) with the ensuing lock down causing a slight resurgence in Seeking membership. After everything tapered off and returned to normal, the downward slide picked up steam again from 2022 to present. Now, it's basically a wasteland of disappointment with many accounts either being scam artists, bots, or jaded and delusional women looking to maximize the benjamins with little to no effort on their part in actually earning them.
Case in point, this year has been quite the trainwreck for me. Not counting the messages left on read, of course (which is perfectly fine as women have their types just like us), I've encountered more time-wasters in the last six months than in the prior three years combined! To try to offset some of this craziness, I started setting up multiple M&Gs for the same day on a weekend just to see what sticks. Last Saturday was supposed to be a first meet with three different SBs--and take a wild guess what happened? One demanded gas money the hour before we were supposed to meet, another said she had second thoughts about sugaring in general, and the third just ghosted then blocked.
In worst-case scenarios like that, I bring a laptop to work on & chill at a coffee shop or grab food at a place I've never visited just so the trip's not a complete bust. As for this weekend, I'm supposed to meet two new ones. If both show up when they say they will, then that will be a fantastic problem to have indeed! However, I'm not holding my breath and have learned to have lower expectations from Seeking these days. Perhaps it'll be different when I travel overseas next month, but I highly doubt I'll be needing Seeking's help finding some strange over there.
All that to say this: it's a huge bummer for sure how far they've fallen. It's a lot tougher to find real, amateur, diamond-in-the-rough, girl-next-door-type SBs--even more tricky to find any among that number who won't ask for prices normally associated with that of a professional escort. And if they look like supermodels who just want to supplement their lavish lifestyle with another Gucci bag or a new BMW, then you can forget about trying to bargain with the overwhelming majority of them! Chances are those types will stick to their guns & quit Seeking if no one takes them up on their demand, or they'll find a well-off john here who doesn't mind making it rain for an average CFS time.
If things continue the way they are, I'll likely just let my subscription expire & go back to Asian agencies. But we'll see how the rest of this shitshow of a year goes down. One can only hope that Seeking's competition picks it up and competes so as to offset the market.

They had no boundaries whatsoever, everything uncovered, staying for hours with a completely open menu. One would visit on Tuesdays, and the other on Thursdays. Despite being in my early 50's, one of them was genuinely interested in dating me. I had many other opportunities on SA, but I chose to focus on these two. Unfortunately, they've since disappeared, and SA is a dumpster fire.

I was fortunate to be in the SA game starting in the early 20-teens. As you wrote, a mix of undergrads, grad students, young professionals, and single moms; all happy for some casual sex and some ca $h. And when traveling for business it was a pretty reliable way to find a hookup; I had some fantastic experiences like that in San Diego, San Antonio, South Florida, NYC, Chicago, Richmond, and of course DC.
Hope springs eternal, and since covid I've been on and off and on and off the site so many times. A few hits but it's just way too much work now.
