I saw this cruiser today. It was in front of me westbound on third and turned onto Irwin and flat out took off. This was earlier, around 10:30am.

Was driving north on M around 3 today and at first thought the landscape was quite nice, two WSW and one BSW near my favorite pizza joint. And then I noticed the LE presence, pretty much everywhere I looked. Needless to say the landscape quickly lost all it's attraction. Sure will be glad when this latest enforcement craze is over, this is quite frustrating.

Make aure you alwaye vote no on police and government levys. Does anyone wonder why Five Rivers metroparks needs a police force? Park rangers used to be people that knew about animals and nature. Not carry guns and handcuffs and get people for open containers.

Back in the 60's and 70's it was pretty wide open with only DPD cruising through on occasion and as long as you maintained some control and cleaned up after your party they pretty much left us alone. And with only 2 ways in and out you could see them coming from a country mile. We always had people looking and it worked really well for us. In the 80's people started not liking the idea of not being able to use the park like they used to because of all the parties and bikers. I've seen some stuff that would curl your hair. It was not for the older generation anymore. Hench the police decided they needed a permanent eyeball in there. This stuff went on in other parks too like Englewood Dam area. And even in Yellow Springs but thats another district. We basically could go to any park and party our asses off all day long, then off to the burger joints for the evening activities. Frisch's on Keowee was a hot bed of cars, bikes, drugs & drink and drag racing. Well the PD thought we all were having way too much fun and started cracking down in the parks and then all the cruise-ins started not letting everyone congregate in large crowds so all our fun just dried up eventually. Hell I went to Eastwood after the metro police invention with my gf just to chill and take a walk but metro was sticking their nose in my car looking for beer cans and the such. It really got tight in the parks. We used to go to Island Park and DeWeese Parkway also. Mostly to smoke and listen to music. We used to roll up some big ole hooters and have shotgun contests usually at DeWeese after dark and the occasional parking with a girl there. Lots of whoopie goin down there. We called them the submarine races. We used to cruise N Dixie from Frisch's around the then "Traffic Circle" and all the way up to the titty bars then back around to Frisch's trunks filled with beer and drinking while driving the "Dixie Strip". And even back then there were SW's all up and down Dixie. Well those days are over and I had a blast doing it. Thanks for reminding me of those days again. Thats why the PD came down hard on us. BTW back in the day I had a 65 Impala all duded up, then a 73 Duster 340 that was show and go. Then I got a 78 Kawasaki 1000 put a turbo on it but by the 80's it was hard to street race and way too expensive if ya got caught. We started going to the drag strips then.
