It always blows me away when guys roll in and bash the town while saying how great it is somewhere else. You might look around the board some more and get a feel for the area, or just roll yourself on down to ATL. With the LEO pressure lately, guys are keeping their ladies close to the chest. You won't get SPAM gourmet here. Again, research the board. I'm not sure of the variety you get in HI, but Knoxville is within a few hours of ATL, Chattanooga, Nashville, Asheville and Lexington. If you can't keep yourself busy with Knoxville and 5 nearby cities and everything in between, nobody can help you.

I always thought this board was pretty active compared to other larger towns. For the most part we have a good group of mongers that if you listen to and take notes will steer you in the right direction. There is a lot of talent in our quaint little town and I try to enjoy it as much as I can budget.

I have to say that Knoxville's board seems to share much more information than most. I know lots of larger cities that have hardly any recent posts, and here there is active discussion almost every day on multiple threads.
