Has any monger met with her? I have given her email out (no phone number) to alot of you guys. Rocket Dork.
I emailed her late last week and have not heard back.
Guessing she's perhaps new to this and a little scared that she is suddenly getting a lot of attention?!
Wonder if she got around to posting on CL again.
As we all know, a response to a CL ad almost always generates a ton of spam, usually offering all the info if you sign up for some "verification" site. Then, the spam arrives, a ton of it.
Here's how to eliminate it if you use Gmail:
1) Let's say your real Gmail address is Monger2015@gmail.com.
2) It's a little-known fact that Gmail will ignore extra periods in an email address and just strip them out upon delivery to your "real" address. But, *you'll* see the extra periods and know which ad generated the response.
3) Now, when responding to an ad that you're not sure is legit, put "Monger.2015@gmail.com" in the reply-to field.
4) If you start getting spammed and want to ignore those emails, just use the Gmail option to "Filter addresses like this" and put the address with the extra period (s) in the "To" field. Then chose the "delete it" option and save the filter.
5) Now, any of those spam emails will never arrive.
6) Later, you can delete the filter if you want, or create another one to respond to another ad.
I've had a couple of PMs on this, so let me "flesh out" (ha ha ha) what you have to do in more detail:
1) In Gmail, find the gearbox icon in the upper-right and click it.
2) Click "Settings" from the drop-down list.
3) Then, click the "Accounts and Import" tab towards the top.
4) Click "Add another email address you own".
5) In the Email address box, put in the address for potential spammers using a period anywhere in the address, such as Monger.2015@gmail.com. (The "treat as an alias" option will already be checked.).
6) Finally, hit continue, and Gmail will add this alias so you can choose it when sending an email.
7) You can create multiple aliases like this by putting a period anywhere else in the address.
