The one I've been meeting stays at the better hotels (not motels), doesn't drive a stolen car or has warrants out on her.

Giving cash upfront and shopping with her in public at a store where she can just walk off with your stuff which is exactly what happened from the sounds of it. Seems like something that could have easily been avoided. Ever hear the saying "Give them an inch and they'll take a mile" because it certainly sounds like it applies here. I'd be willing to bet it could have been avoided if you'd met up with her at a room or your place, etc. Did you always do this previously? Is this something she had the opportunity to do every single time you met with her before?
