The ads were clear as well, with at least one if them stating that they were younger than the post stated. That was a clear signal that the post was suggesting younger than 18. The dudes get what they deserve in these cases.

I'm sure if it's from STG LE can still arrest someone for wanting to meeting an escort for an agreed upon amount of money.

Everyone has to do their due diligence. Any of us could potentially be picked up in a sting in a hotel room Etc. My point was that for this specific instance it was geared towards underage girls and predators.

Someone may want to rob a hank to get rich, but if they don't actually do it, it's kind of difficult to find them guilty of a crime. Now, if they show up and offer money for sex, that is something they can be arrested and charged for.

Solicitation is a misdemeanor in most places, and gets pleaded out to some lesser charge. They are not going to get a warrant and trace your IP address or cell phone to find your physical address. I'm sure alot of people stopped contact when they were told the age of supposed girl. Rumor was a springfield girl was seeing guys when she was 17 but kept it quiet. Technically 17 is the age of consent in IL but they are not an adult (18) to engage in a "legal agreement".

And then I would usually ask how much. But then if they start mentioning what would I like to do then that's a red flag. I watch a lot of the Chris Hansen investigations on youtube and TV and that's usually how the conversations go after the person tells the man they're underage.
