I suppose that Trump hatred of yours is worth another 17 k or so? I don't minimize the number of people that will die from the virus but at some point our countermeasures become worse than the disease as the economy / job lossses are going to be devastating. It would be easy to eliminate most of the lung cancer. We would just ban all smoking. Not sure how Trump becomes the root of all this evil. The US death rate for the virus is lower than most of Western Europe which has similar medical access and treatment. If we really want to drive the numbers down the President could have everyone quarantine for another 6 months. Then you devolve into who you voted for as if that matters about the corona virus.

You act as if the lives lost to the pandemic were simply inevitable when you make those comparisons. There's plenty of studies (none that you've read) that show that our failure to act early probably contributed and extra 30 K+ deaths.
