Bear with me if my memory is off a few ticks as to specifics, but this shop recently changed hands and name. Used to be something like "A1" or "A+" and had a bad rep as a latina FS place with Green / Palm Tree / HT pricing and sluggish providers. Now its called "Ivy" and only Rubmaps paying members can read the new reviews and that doesn't include me. Hopefully a change for the better.

Probably because there is no white girl there. It's just a ploy to bring in more patronage.

There are two places in Pasadena that I used to frequent that have since turned semi-legit. The place on Fair Oaks and on Lake. Owned by the same person. If you were a first timer it was likely you'd get normal massage and maybe teasing. That was it. I was burned several times. But come to find out there were two girls at each that offered extras. One of which El Bango referred back in the day. She was great and has since moved to another place in South Pas and goes by appointment only now. Purple and South El Monte are a comparative bargain. You can't find a reliable FS storefront MP anywhere in metro LA where the house charge is less than $35 for a full hour. Others may charge that much for 30 minutes. $100-120 is the going rate for FS tipping all over the region, but you could probably negotiate it at least to $80 in "Purple" and most of the SGV spots. The best reviewed MPs in the SGV for years are definitely HT and probably Green and Palm Tree, all 3 in Baldwin Park. All charge $80-90 to the house for an hour, and expected tip will be at least $100-120, but they will probably haggle with you for more if you take the full hour. The well reviewed FS place in the strip mall with Monarch's in COI is also $90 at the door for an hour. All the top spots for pretty young girl FS in central LA and the SFV are going to cost you $140-160 for 30 minutes, and $180-200 for an hour, combining house and tip. OC will be the same or more with perhaps lower house fees but hot young asian girls in MP havens like Garden Grove demanding larger tips than going rate everywhere else.

Ha! I've been lurking here for over 10 yrs, back when yodaman (is that how you spell his name?) was still very active. I didn't realize that I have not posted anything til I saw the big "1" on the post count.

I understand that $35 is a good deal for a 1 hr massage. I went to the the MPs in BP and COI, like Green and Golden Sea Spa back in the days. The problem is not the pricing. For $120, we can get HOT spinners with bolt-ons, or Huge natural baby feeders at those korean girl places. Remember Shanghai spa? Or the one a little down vally? About a block or so west, make a left, and right there on the left side!

My problem is that these girls are not $120 FS material. Not on looks or quality of service. Especially if you factor in the $35 door charge. That's $155. For $160, you can get many girls from BP, Naughty Review, and redbook with accurate reviews and pictures. It manybe fun for the thrill of the hunt, but that gets old a little quick.

Age starts off around 35 (I've been seeing one since she was 35, she's over 40 now). Standard pricing is $40 for 1 hour massage. $60 $70 for HJ, and if you like what you see, 80% of them will offer FS at negotiated pricing.
