Even posted about it 20 years ago back when USAG and ISG were the same site (it was just ISG). Nothing has changed in 20 years and never will. But people don't pay attention to these warnings.

When I went Tj 20 years ago a regular said the same thing, to say to go to the station and see the judge (they usually won't). Stay calm. Yes, they have the right to stop you and it sucks. They can do the same thing if you are on foot, we see it all the time. They are searching for drugs and knives among other things so don't bring those. These bars used to be packed with rowdy young people and military guys from San Diego, but no more after 2008 or so.

Ruta 3 is a 2nd-floor balcony on Ave Revo looking down on foot traffic, with many food and drinks combo specials, 2 fried-fish meals for 300 pesos, 2 strong mango margaritas for 150 pesos, 90 P sushi plate, 10 cervesaz with a bowl of shrimp ceviche for 400 pesos ect. , food was fresh, delish, drinks were strong, service was quick, very good values and a nice place to take your HK GFs to chill. However these bars will conveniently forget to bring their special discount menus as advertised on the street. You have to insist they bring them.

Margarita Village is a few hundred feet North, posted meal specials, like arrachera skirt steak + 1 beer and other similar meals for 90 pesos, very good values. It's a large bar on second-floor balcony with all brands of beers, strong IPAs and cheap snacks worth chilling with friends.

Hotel Nelson bar looks out to busy Plaza Cecilia where music and dance shows are occasionally done on Saturday, with a good authentic Mexican food menu and 45-peso beers. The plaza is the official start of TJ's Zona Tolerencia, worth hanging out to sample local lifestyle. Other bars on Revo have banners showing specials like a bucket of 10 beers for 200 pesos or $1 each, mostly local Tecate or XX.

The 2 wingmen are Spanish-speaking mongers going to TJ for over 25 years, but never ventured outside HK. They were impressed with how much food, fun and relaxation can be had on Revo outside of the puta bars. On the way back Papaya was looking for street girl Yamilet for an all night session but could not find her.

Tuesday morning met wingmen in Azul's for HK VIPs' free breakfast with steak and eggs or a buffet with normal eggs, ham, sausages and 15 Mexican dishes, very good deal.

Walked to the Catedral Plaza for Mace Windu to find a good neck massage. The shops wanted $30 for half hour. Alleged holistic massage guys, with vans parked on calle 3 next to the catedral, wanted $20 for an hour. Mace passed.

OB1 caught up with us on Calle 3. We took the yellow Taxi de Ruta to Playa, 15 pesos each. Got dropped off at the Walmart, walked 1 block to the beach. They built 8-ft high sand berms on the beach to protect houses and restaurants from high surf. As usual the sea-food restaurants on beach front, like Los Arcos Playa, are expensive, $5 shrimp tacos, $15 ceviche, $5 beers.

Walked to the Friendship Park at the border with Trump's new, tall, high-tech steel fence, up to 27-ft high, bristling with barbed wires and security cameras. Just don't see anyway humans can climb over that fence. Falling down from that height means certain deathly injuries.

Checked out a beach-front hotel as potential love nest with hot HK girls, $80 a night, damn expensive. Took the taxi de ruta back to El Centro.

After lunch walked to Telephonica Gastronomic with craft brewers on site for some craft beers but the place was closed, probably open only on weekend. Car traffic was very light due to New Year holiday.

Got back to HK about 5. Unlike previous years HK made no special preparation for NY Eve's party. The club was light. Tables around the main stage were not sold to big spenders. Guys were sitting around the stage, drinking beers, watching the strip show, ogling girls all night for free. HK girls complained big shows take all the attention, crash their business. Looked like HK decided to do away with big shows.

We were sitting at the football booth drinking all night, not having to buy the big, most expensive table in the club, likely $800 min. Papaya sat in his $400 booth with Paulina flown in from Guadalajara, Obi-Wan with Samantha from Mexico City. They bought 3 champagne bottles for their girls with the booze credit. I poured a shot for myself and one for Mace Windu but Samantha objected that it was her champagne. Man, she's a nice, young, slim, pretty girl. Eventually the 2 guys took their girls to the hotels. Samantha stayed all night with OB1 in Rizo, this time for free. Looks like she has special feelings for him. But it got even better. The following Monday she wanted him to come back and stayed with him 2 days for free, all BBFS but no anal. He took her out to 2 fancy dinners at Mochomos and Lorenza, costed $428 total, WTF? Some restaurants in TJ are stupidly expensive, only stupid narcos loaded with drugs money can afford. Unless she's the only daughter of Carlos Sim, girls in Mexico are all desperate for money. My guess is she would have been grateful if he took her to the cheap Ruta 3 on Revo for food and drinks and hand her the rest of the money.

Chewbacca had a session with an escort, came down to drink with us, said he had not taken any HK girls for a very long time and would not take one this time, just hanging out, drinking with wingmen, WTF? He's a red-headed Irish guy, very nice, sweet, generous wingman who has been known to drink a couple bottles of liquor per night in the past. Wingmen said there was no midnight show, only a few HK managers and girls on the stage counting down, throwing confetti and lentil beans. Girls were cracking and eating them on the spot or saving them in their handbags. Wingmen got the football table for free until 2 AM when they got chased out for some guys who bought bottles. They just moved to another free table.

HK's NY eve's party this year was not crowded, not exciting or interesting, just business as usual. Wingmen said they had a fun trip outside of HK, exploring Tijuana and Ave Revo with its good food, good drinks, fun, laid back life styles, also had a good lunch with Luke and his children.

So I went to TJ back in November and decided to buy a pack of Maxifort pills instead of my usual Figral (used to love Edegra but no longer available). Even the private brand ones from the pharmacy up the hill from the alley are good.

These Maxifort are either fake or duds. I took a 1/2 (50 mg) and usually feel warm and face getting red within minutes. These, it takes a while or never happens. I decided to try my last Figral yesterday afternoon and sure as hell, 5 minutes later, felt warm and new I was good. With these, I found them to be very weak and I can even take the whole 100 mg with no real effect. Weird.

Moral of the story is buy from one of the better Pharmacy providers. Avoid the ones near the pedestrian line (I got these from the one that has the counter facing the pedestrian line as it goes by the vendors). Either they were fake or were way past their expiration date.

Anyways, looking forward to heading down for a "business trip" the first week of February. Going to be there 3 days, work for 4 and then Valentine's Day. Should be fun.
