Long time, First time. I would like to contribute what little I can. Any constructive criticism is appreciated.

Since I was just window shopping, I didn't try too hard to make eye contact because the dude was there. Is it significant that the dude walked off as soon as I drove past?

My first suggestion to you would be to read and re-read the 22 Rules of Mongering found on this Board. Those rules are time-tested and will save you a lot of grief in the future. Next, I would spend some time reading earlier posts on several threads. It will give you a feel for what happens out there.

After you've done that comes the real test. Get out there and make a pick. In your example above, the lady was obviously with her 'handler', who doesn't give a rat's ass about her, except for how much money she's going to hand over to him. While that makes him a low-life, piece of shit IMHO, it is what it is. Here's what you do:

Give her a look directly. She will give you a look back. Turn down a side street and wait, but keep your doors locked until you can get a better look at her. The dude will peal off, and she will approach your passenger door. If you like, unlock the door. She will get right in. NEVER negotiate from a car window.

Once she's in the car, drive off. After you clear the pick up area, do the cop check, negotiate your deal and have fun!

Started cruising M around 11 tonight. Saw a couple of BSW that I wouldn't let touch me if my life depended on it, but that was pretty much it. Tried 5 and 3 to no avail. Was ready to call it a night, but decided I'd give M one more try. Right off the bat, I saw 2 WSW's that got swooped up before I could get turned around, but looking back, I'm glad I missed out. Saw Micki just hitting M north of the bend, so I motioned her back and pounced. I'm guessing 5'2".110, dark hair, probably 28. I'd probably rate her an 8. A scab or 2, but still quite the catch for a SW. She was a bit chatty at first, but once the nerves settled, she relaxed. Her preferred parking spot was a bit unorthodox (the driveway of someone she said she knew was out of town) , but I went along, as I've been through enough tense situations that I wasn't too worried. I've seen her on the east side twice in the last few days. 3 & 5. Had a brief chat with her at the see-store at the bottom of the hill on 3. Told me her name is Alyssa, cute brunette, I would guess mid 20's, short hair, nice tan. The 2 times that I have spotted her she was dressed nice, maybe too nice for the neighborhood, LOL. Outside of the store she hit me up for a buck and said she likes to play. I wasn't in a position at the time to take her up on the offer.

I don't hit the streets anymore (I've gotten old) , stick to backpage etc. But I did troll for 15 years on on off. Still remember the thrill, but I digress.

I have a couple of tips:

1. Turn off the door light so it does not go on when you open the door.

2. Keep your foot off the brake pedal.

3. This worked for me, but YMMV, I had one in my car that I decided I did not want, and she would not get out. I said OK and started up the entrance ramp of 75, and said last chance to get out before Cincinnati. She got out.

About finding a place to park. I never did find the perfect place (but I did use some bad ones) , but I think you should drive a mile or two out of the pickup area, there seems to be more LEO on the blocks surrounding N. Main, and they are looking for that kind of activity. This is just my opinion, so use it if you want.

Tips that are already in 22 monger rules, but can not be repeated enough.

1. Monger wallet. On my second pickup (total noob) I had my real wallet in my back pocket. During the BJ she stole it. But then she had me drop her off at her apt. So I knew where she lived. I went and pounded on her door and demanded it back. I got it, but it was empty of money (only had something like 3 bucks, so that was OK). I do not recommend doing that, I got lucky.

2. NEVER talk to her while she leans in the window. If she really is a SW, she will jump right in. Drive off, a decoy would not get in your car and let you drive off. If she tries to talk to you (and how could she, because your window is up) say you thought she was someone else, and drive off. It is always better to miss a good pickup, than pick up a bad one.

3. I know I would get nervous right after / during the pickup. Calm down and drive like a saint. During my first pickup, I immediately drove the wrong way on a one way street. Not cool. The only problem I have ever had with LE, was right after a pickup I turned left and there was a no left turn sign. The separated us and talked to us. I admitted nothing, just said I was giving her a ride. They actually let her get back in my car. See tip 3 from above, obviously I did not want to go through with the date at that point.

I am usually in / on a vehicle that does not warrant pickups, hence my request for digits. Any time I do have the chance to do a pickup I post about my experience. In the meantime if anyone has digits for a SP that does a good BBBJCIM for when I can't do a regular pickup it would be greatly appreciated.
