Looking for that rare, one of a kind jewels in the rough? From my experiences I tend to find more gems among the strolls that are considered less popular, like Swenson / Twain, Sahara, and Fremont. A couple of years ago I found a 19 yr old heroin addict on Karen, of all the places. She was probably one of the hottest SW I ever picked up anywhere. But if you read a sampling of my many posts, as well as other mongers on this site, there is gold in them hills too. I refer back to a post I posted about a month ago (you can do a quick search on my profile) where I give a detail comparison of how hunting for SW a lot like gambling,"You have to know when to hold them, know when to fold them, know when to walk away and know when to run."

If you know how to play the game, if you know how to stick to your personal rules (don't let the little head cause you to rationalize things your big head says no to) and if you know when to get up from the table and call it a non-winning night. You can do quite well.

I agree with lolligagger. There is something so thrilling about the hunt itself, the craft of getting a winning hand, I like it so much better than fishing in a stocked pond that requires no fishing skills to bring one in.

Each to their own. For those who prefer to find them other ways, so be it. But as for me, I have tried every method out there, and I love the thrill of the hunt.

Thanks for your post basslake. Keep them real and keep them honest. I have had bad catch as well and I have had my fair share of catch and release. We as mongers are still in control, just because we discover that the SW was not what she had appeared to be, it does not mean we have to finish the task. Just let her go and find one of the many fine catches our there!

Driving down Paradise early afternoon I saw 2 WSW. I was busy hence did not partake. Also, early morning I did a drive by Lq. Nothing there. But be aware, LE is very heavy on Paradise.

OK I know that Bolder City is not Las Vegas, but they are so close together, they are practically one city. Since I could not find any write ups on it, I thought I would start here. I was driving through BC and what appeared to be a WSW gave me the stare. Now, I was not alone, plus the possible WSW was not my type, so I did not follow through. But it caused me to wonder, what is the SW activity in BC?

I lived in Los Angeles when Century Blvd went ass wild crazy in 2006 and 2007. On any given night you would find anywhere from 10 to 30 gals ranging from hot (Sunshine, Asia, and Melody) to just average to a few ghetto hos that somehow found a ride a left their normal stroll on Fig. I probably dated forty gals from that one track. It took a year (a fucking year!) for me to run into Karen. A good looking LSW that gave an enthusiastic BBBJ for. 30 which was the best deal in LA if you ask me. After that track shutdown, I spent an equal amount of time on Western (until it closed down) and Fig. It probably took another two years before I found someone that I considered to be as good as Karen on Fig. I dated her for three months then she was gone. It is always just hit or miss: You're as likely to find a good cheap SW on an expensive track as you are to find a good (looking) SW on an inexpensive track.

Personally, I've never seen a gal on Fremont that I would allow inside my car. They have all been hideously gross. Now I'm not saying that a gem doesn't pop up out there every now and again, but I haven't seen one and would rather spend an extra. 10 to. 20 on BH (and save. 30 in gas in the process of looking for this gem). We need to start putting together names and faces so that we know who is a good value and who isn't a good value. Unfortunately, many of the gals in Vegas don't have a phone (idiots) so it makes the whole process much harder than in say California.

One time on Fig, I sort of rescued a latina / Samoan mix after the cops decided to shutdown the track.
