I always park inside the garage. As soon as you pull into the CC garage (entrance is on Kalakaua, near Kapiolani intersection), stop at the booth, take a ticket from the machine (don't lose the ticket!), and ask the parking attendant for the parking pass to whichever MP you are headed to. Most validated parking is on the 3rd and 4th levels. After parking, you'll have to take the stairs or elevator to the first floor lobby so that you can access the elevators to the MPs.
