It really helps if they post ads or are otherwise known in the provider community. Otherwise she'll be skeptical of the validity of the reference. Otherwise you'll have to give her some personal info. It makes her comfortable that you are who you say you are. And they can check to see if you're LE or are a sex offender or something.
