I want to say this carefully so no one gets the wrong idea: Posting the names, mugshots, case status, incarceration status and/or the release dates of people who have been arrested for engaging in commercial sex activities is really just helping the police in their efforts to embarrass these people.

CurbCrawler beat me to it, but I was thinking of this a little differently. There's a news story out there that's easy to find, relating to the 'Justice for Brook' poster and a rogue PCSO officer with a personal vendetta involving attempting to frame and plant evidence. (Hope this isn't violating a forum rule, as I'm not mentioning any names or specifics that weren't already mentioned in the post being talked about in post #2379).

Reading the post for the first time, I thought it odd that anybody would admit to a crime (vandalism), describe the house they live in, and (after reading the story), also use their real name.

One thing all of us forum members know is that anytime there's a new member, you never really know who they are until they've spent some time here and contributed honestly. You're always skeptical about the first few posts as anybody can make up anything.

FFW to this story. Reading it, realizing this had ties to the graffiti on Cross Bayou, I thought back to this. Realizing there was a real name also used by this new (1st time posting) member, it struck me as something not written by this individual, but more as somebody maybe trying to 'frame' or slander somebody (which goes right along with the findings of the PCSO).

Maybe it's just me, but it sure seems plausible that uncle himself could have registered and posted that with intentions of using it somehow against this individual. I've been known to have idiotic ideas and thoughts, but this is just fishy. Then again, would it be way out of the question that this post was legit and he's just telling PCSO to screw off and go help find Brook? Not at all.

Things like this used to have me questioning my sanity, but those days are long gone.
