RE: Hotels
Thanks everyone for the advice on hotels. It's really Going to be a big help when I book it in the coming days. But as the time starts to grow near I'm going to have to be filled in on newest ones out there and those old favorites of you all. Hopfully I can find one for a overnight stay too. But thanks to everyone for the help.
You are welcome on behalf of me and everyone else who gave you some assistance.
Sometimes it just pays to hit the stroll and pick out one that appeals to you. If you want an overnight stay, usually that can be arranged with some of the girls. However, you have to remember that many are addicted and you may have to be exposed to the risk of an evening relaxer and a morning "wake-up" being available in your room.

RE: Pic Collage
Thanks to the many of you who sent me private kudos on my pic postings. It has inspired me to share some more of my adventures on the K&A. Keep an eye out and I welcome your comments. Thanks, MAX.
Dates_collage_titled_2. Jpg
Your collage was awesome! I am a fan of your camera work. It is different, and often different can be good. There are two unique aspects of your pics that particularly appeal to me: 1. The very nature of videos allows you to capture some exact moments that would not be possible with a still shot, even taken remotely: like sequences of a facial and / or body squirt which allows the view to even be in mid-stream. 2. You have an eye for taking money shots and they are my favorite type of pic. You have managed to capture different angles and results that are quite erotically nasty.
I must admit that when I am getting a BJ I am focused more on the pleasure, and pretty lazy about the angles of the pic. I am either lying down and taking the shot from that angle, or taking the shot from above as I stand up, or holding the camera to the side. I am not saying that you don't get your pleasure as well, but your BJ and money shot pics show some real imagination. Unlike the rock throwers on here who make complaints about pics, but don't provide examples of their own, you are one who just does his thing without feeling the need to bash others in the process. You don't talk the talk; you just walk the walk. I like that. That is so typical of what happens on here, too. There are those who do, and those who just have big fat mouths, and tell you what to do. You are an innovative doer, and that inspires me to try a few things differently with my photography.
The main stroll here in Philly on the K is not all that complicated to figure out for a self-guided tour: check the SW Stroll Maps for Philly in this Forum:
The Philly "K Stroll"
However, the K can look very daunting to someone more used to seeing green lawns and 2-car garages in the burbs.
There is a thriving underground drug trade all around the Ave. This is the main reason SWs are there in the first place. With drug business around, in a generally run-down and declining area of the city, you have to expect your share of strange and dangerous characters roaming the streets. However, it isn't all bad by a long shot. There are a number of retail outlets, particularly bunched together in the few blocks north and south of the intersection of Allegheny and Kensington. On a typical day there are many shoppers in this vicinity, and the SWs tend to operate outside of this more commercial zone. Retail stores pepper the stroll even outside of the vicinity of Allegheny and Kensington. There are also eateries, car dealerships, and even a fire station, several parks, several schools and a church along or near the stroll. Together with these are a fair share of aged and deteriorating and / or boarded up buildings, and vacant lots.
I have seen better urban neighborhoods, but I have seen a lot worse as well. It isn't quite the war zone that Broadway in Camden appears to be, although I am comfortable on that stroll as well, during the day in particular. The biggest danger in Camden IMHO is that LE has a hard on for mongers, and you have to be a LOT more careful than in Philly, where a white suburban-looking monger tends to blend in more. I am not trying to be racist, but rather stating a fact: if you see a Caucasian male driving on Broadway in Camden, most especially with PA plates, then he is very likely to be a monger; if you see a Caucasian girl on Broadway she is even more likely to be a SW. It has to make Camden LE's job a lot easier in spotting their targets.
I find that during the day I feel quite safe along the K or Broadway. However, potential dangers always lurk in a seedy urban neighborhood and it pays to keep alert and not be lulled into a false sense of security. A K Hotel?
Do you work for the Philly department of Tourism? I think I want to stay in a Holiday Inn on K street!
If only there were one! I would imagine you could do a brisk business just off the K renting rooms by the hour. The Carlyle basically only has 4 rooms in service for rent by the hour that I ever saw, and that is no prize of a place, especially for $20 / hour. If you bought a townhouse just off the K with 4 usable bedrooms, and ran a clean place with a nice bathroom or 2 (with showers, clean towels and linens and a double buzz-in security <once at the door and once again to enter the rooms after the '"lobby" to make it safer>), I would imagine you could easily get a premium over the Carlyle for the quality improvements in service, cleanliness and convenience. Let's say you priced it at $30 per hour: assuming a 50% average occupancy most days you would be generating about $60 per hour. The wee hours might be slower, so you could provide overnight rental rates, or even temporary places for homeless SWs to stay and to shower and eat for a piece of their action. So, let's very conservatively assume you might be able to generate about $750 / day or about $22,500 a month. If you bought a run-down townhouse for say 30 grand (I saw several listings on and near the K for this price; they were 3 story townhouses with 2000 square feet of living space; you could get even a much better deal if you looked for a foreclosure situation), and put 10 grand into initial renovation of 2 rooms,(more later as you got cash flow), then you would be paying about $200 / month for a mortgage, inclusive of financing the renovation, (with 20% down and good credit for a 4% mortgage rate), plus taxes and utilities of say very conservatively another $300 / month.
Even drastically reducing the income estimate and inflating the expenses shows you that this would be a VERY profitable business venture. A profit margin of 50% in most businesses would be good (income equal to 2 times expenses.) Income in this case would be more than a 20 fold multiple of expenses! Even if you charged only $20 / hour your income would be about a 15 fold multiple of expenses, and even more with a higher average occupancy rate than 50%, or lower expenses. You could always variably price: the Carlyle has very little heat and no air conditioning, so on very cold or very hot days there should be absolutely no problem getting $30/hour, and a nice clean bathroom with a shower might be worth that as well, not to mention a clean room with a nice mattress and clean linens. Of course, you have the potential legal issues. My suggestion would be getting a very good attorney. The Carlyle seems to operate without incident, and it's not like LE doesn't know about it. But you aren't illegally running a brothel, just a place that rents rooms. No-tell motels do it all the time for consenting adults. Maybe LE would even be happy there is a nice clean place operating that is not a shooting gallery (that would have to be a strict rule; even if you have to search handbags, etc; you don't want to be messing around with permitting drugs on the premises.
Of course, you have the potential legal issues. My suggestion would be getting a very good attorney. .
Oh and don't forget one is going to need to "grease the skids" with Philly L&I, Health Dept, Boyz in Blue and several others. Add THAT into your budget.

The K Hotel Budget
Oh and don't forget one is going to need to "grease the skids" with Philly L&I, Health Dept, Boyz in Blue and several others. Add THAT into your budget.
That is unless one wants to end up like Club Kama Sutra.
There are enough regulations to register and operate any legitimate business, let alone a hotel, in Philly to strangle an elephant. This is a city that never saw a small business it couldn't hate. There is a high local income tax, business licensing regulations and fees, a high local "business privilege" tax and a very high tax specifically on hotel stays. The business tax regulations alone in Philadelphia comprise over 50 pages of small single-spaced type that only a tax attorney could comprehend, and taxes are levied on gross receipts with no deductions for expenses or amortization. There is no sensitivity or understanding whatsoever that some businesses require capital investment and heavy expenses to operate. And then the city wonders why companies and workers and residents want to get the hell out of Dodge and run to the burbs, and let the dregs behind, so that the city needs to find creative ways to tax what is left even higher, and spiral the city into a black hole of economic and financial ruin.
And, this is just talking about operating a hotel business on the level, let alone any "greasing the skids" that might be necessary with Philly L&I, Health Department and the Boyz In Blue. So, maybe you are right that a huge operating budget might be absolutely necessary to be running a K Hotel and make any money at it, while staying away from legal problems and / or jail.
Oh, I got totally lost in my own thoughts here. WTF was Club Kama Sutra? LOL

Jamie Lynn
I truly hope that the recently reported and confirmed death of a "Jamie" was not Jamie Lynn (her real name). I recently dated her, and I was going to post a report of my date with her after finishing the picture posts of Jody. That would be so tragically bittersweet if she was the girl who died. It so reminds me of Genevieve, another extremely sweet girl, who also died from an overdose shortly after I had dated her. It is something that brings close to home the uglier realities of life on the K.
I had discussed the writing of my book with Jamie Lynn and she was excited about telling her complete story to me at some point, and being a part of it. She was even willing to sign a release to have her photos published in the book. She laughed when I said she could use a fake name to hide her identity, and said her real name and pics were already all over the internet and that wouldn't be necessary.
Jamie Lynn: the sweetest girl you could ever meet on the Ave, and yet hardened by homeless living and the roller coaster of addiction and sobriety. For a while she had straightened out her life, had kicked drugs and shared a place with a gf in the burbs. I remember with a smile how, on our very first date, she cursed out of my open window like a sailor at some people too lazily crossing the street in front of us after the light turned green. And then she gave me that cute toothy grin that was so innocent and yet so sensual. At the end of our first date, I couldn't find my cell phone, and she was so concerned for me. She stayed with me until we could find a pay phone so she could call my number, and I could hear it ringing in my car to locate it. It must have fallen on the floor and skidded under the passenger seat near the door. When she got out to make the call she must have brushed it with her foot and it had fallen to the curb, so that, when she called, I was hearing it ringing outside of the car. She came back to my car crying because she thought that I thought she was trying to steal it. I never thought that for a second, but she was upset for a while about it until I finally convinced her that was the case.
On our most recent date she immediately recalled that incident. It was so long ago and I could only vaguely remember it myself. I even had forgotten with what SW that had occurred. It was her mentioning it that brought it freshly to my mind. Most SWs can't remember what they had for breakfast, but she had perfect recall of every small detail of every date we ever had. Jamie Lynn: both very smart and very sweet.
If something has happened to Jamie Lynn it will remind me that there but for the grace of God go we all, and my sincere wish for her sake is that she is still with us.

Jody
There is something about this girl Jody that I like! I don't know what it is but I do like her. I would have to say that she is a great find in my book. I guess I like a little meat on the bones, and for the price she was a bargin. Where I'm from you had yourself a 1000 dollar adventure. And that's on a good day for all the time and pictures you took. And that would have been up front money too. It's hit or miss down here in new Orleans. And SW are nonexistent BP is the only way to find something to get with. And I'm not kidding, it is cheaper for me to get on a plane fly to Philly have some fun and come back than to get a girl from down here for some crazy price. And most are so full of themselves it's a shame. I paid 150 for a girl for one hour and after she got her money she started to explain all she wasn't doing. That just pissed me off 10 minutes later I was out the door.

Club Kama Sutra
Oh, I got totally lost in my own thoughts here. WTF was Club Kama Sutra? LOL
Club Kama Sutra (CKS) was a swing club that was disguised as a social club, right there on South Street. It was a place where a single male could go on Friday night for a 0.5 entry fee and play with whatever sl*t showed up to get used. There used to be some old lady in her 50s or 60s that would occupy a both and take "all cummers". The dozens of used condoms strewn around the cubical, when I looked, attested to the fact that for some a stiff willy will take any port in a storm. I saw some middle-aged guy bring in his HOT 20-something wife and make her available for a gang bang. Once it was clear she was set up for play. The guys came out of the wood work to pounce on her. It was like a pack of wild dogs dismembering a carcass. Pretty raw, carnal stuff. I was with an UTR girl (a freebie date) and we both were sickened by the way the young wife was treated like meat. Nobody messed with my date - I made sure of that.
However, Saturday night was couples only. A couple of bars, a dance floor, and one BIG playroom that was wall to wall mattresses where you could take your date or whomever would wander in with you and bump nasties. The unique feature was that they had cut out part of the ceiling between the playroom and the 3rd floor, so one could stand along the rail on the third floor and get a birds eye view of 20+ couples going at it. That is if there wasn't standing room available along the glass windows on the second floor. No private play spaces.
I took a 20-something FWB to CKS a couple of times and screwed her in the back corner since she was shy about a public display, she let me go off one time and bang a HOT East Indian chick who wasn't getting enough from her limp-dicked husband. While I was banging the Indian, my date ended up naked on the bar serving up navel shots and having whip cream licked off her. By the time we got back to her place she was so worked up we fucked all night long.
Anyway as the Monica Lewinski teens emerged into adulthood, swinging has taken off as one of those trendy things couples tried or added to their sex life. Club Kama Sutra grew in popularity and crowds were BIG. It got to to the place that the owners forgot what business they were running and that the CC business crowd is really rather conservative. They also forgot who was MS "Law & Order" in Philly too!
CKS got cocky and let themselves be the cover story of one of those free "available on the corner" Philly rags. They got the impression that they were going to be able to franchise a bunch of swing clubs across PA or the nation. They forgot that in Philly, greasing the right skids is key to staying in business, especially if that business isn't one that is generally socially acceptable.
First thing I would have done if I had been those owners would have been a LARGE contribution to the Lin Abrahams re-election fund. Then of course I would have applied whatever "grease" is needed to keep L&I happy too.
But no more than a month after CKS was front page news L&I conducted a "raid" on the swing club on a Saturday night and some how the local TV stations happened to come along. Gee, think about that. City Workers operating on a SATURDAY night? TV cameras along for a "routine" L&I inspection? Clearly CKS was targeted and targeted in a way to make sensational news.
Anyway, L&I found a number of code violations (How hard is that in old CC buildings? And shut them down. The owners were so naive that they thought they could correct the code violations and would be allowed to reopen. Well they fixed the problems but they never reopened. They tried relocating to the Allentown area, but me thinks the locals eventually stopped that operation too. So they went from a thriving, growing business one day to nothing in the blink of an eye.
Classic example in my mind of some realities of doing business in CC Philly. Grease needed, stay low profile for certain things and if one has the potential for going down, might as well take a few prominent politicians with you (or at least cause them a bit of embarrassment)
So yeah. Add a few "line items" to the CapEx budget for that K Street Hotel! LOL!
